"Really gives the flavor of staying in Old Town. Beautiful older medieval-style building in a very quiet area (used to be knight's barracks before becoming high class fashion design center) Right next to the Palace! More akin to a B&B with hot breakfast prepared daily in the courtyard. Our host and his mate went out of their way to make us feel comfortable with very personalized service. An excellent time had by all!!"

"A great independent accommodation option close to old town (20 min walk) with many other shops and dining places close by. Reception is not manned all the time however hotel is run by a lovely lady who proactively communicates and aims to address any queries asap. "Lovely, old property in the heart of Rhodes making it so easy to see the city. Our room was on the small side but had the benefit of a small lounge/kitchen area downstairs shared with just 2 other rooms. "Great value for location. Very friendly staff, lots of free chilled drinking water and cocktail offers/happy hour! Fridge in the room, good Aircon, comfy bed. Very small bathroom but was clean and good water pressure/temperature. Will offer beach towels for free with deposit to take to the nearby beach as well as shower after checkout. Free luggage storage too!"

"Great hostel, good people. My 6-beds dorm was divided into 3 little 'rooms' so they were only 2 beds in my little 'apartment'. Great experience. 35 minutes walking from the ferrys. 5 minute from the beach, 10 minutes from the Old town. Reception is open 24h, useful."

"The hotel is located just between old town and new town rhodes so its a perfect location for a stay. The best parts of rhodes are within 5-15 mins walk away. And if you want to travel to other parts of the island (without renting a car), rhodes old town central bus stop is 3 mins walk from the hotel. "First time to rhodes and i was very impressed. The hotel is beautiful, clean and modern, tradional style bedroom (i think) but very spacious, very comfortable bed. Every single staff member was happy, always smiling and very helpful. All the food was amazing, great decent drinks and a huge choice of cocktails. I absolutely could not fault one thing. Great sea view room. Walking distance to new town where theres lots of bars, restaurants and shops. And not really much further to old town. If you don't mind maybe 20 mins walk. We will definitely be back. Thank you. Hope all the staff had a great last night closing meal and party, i am sure you have all worked very hard"

"We were very pleased with our stay and the entire staff was amazing as was the communication, making very easy to find our way there! That alone is worth 5 stars!. However, I was surprised that the breakfast was not a "Full Breakfast" as stated in the property description....It was truly a continental breakfast. Boiled eggs, no eggs cooked to order or anything hot...not evrn a toaster with bread....Maybe this has changed recently because many of the reviews (which caused me to book) raved about the incredible breakfast.....and I think its important for other potential guests to know the reality. Other than that, excellent stay! "

"The property is a little tired e.g. cracked glass in the balcony door but it is clean. The photos of the pool are a little deceptive, it is a pool but hardly a swimming pool. The hotel ad on Expedia says ‘Sun & fun on the beach’ & has photos of sunbeds on the beach. Whilst the hotel is only 3 minutes walk to the beach the Petit Palais does not offer sunbeds on the beach. The ad also states that ‘active travellers can enjoy amenities, such as fitness classes’ but there were no fitness classes .. until we pushed & we’re told we could join yoga at the Grand. Anyway, enough of the negativity. The Petit Palais has a really lovely feel about it, it’s not so big that it’s impersonal. The dining was really good, with plenty of choice, & it’s great that you can pay small additional amounts to enjoy nice wines. Most of the staff were great but we want to say a very special thank you to Nikos who went out of his way to ensure we had a great holiday. And also a mention to Dimitris at the Grand who was just altogether lovely. Would we return? Most certainly yes if the package included access to sun beds on the beach. "
