"We had a really great stay in Forgotten Garden Apartments. We liked the proximity of the sea shore, however quite a steep street led there. But it was good for some physical training, especially when you go up with a stroller. The apartment was clean, nice, but a bit small - two bedrooms accommodated only the beds. "Denis' apartment was exactly as described. It was very clean and well stocked with kitchen implements should you decide to cook. Its location makes it a gem. Close to the heart of town, but far enough from tourist crowds to sit with locals for end of day Campari and chips a block away. Denis was patient with my terrible Italian and his English was terrific. He even helped us get a cab on the way out as I'd goofed that up somehow. Fun spot!"

"Lovely spacious apartment in the centre of Trieste, very good value for money, especially considering the price of the hotels nearby. The bed had a firm mattress, as I like it, and the sofas in the living room were very comfortable. I loved the style of the apartment - very Italian, with parquet floor and visible stone bricks. "The hotel is conveniently situated and all the main areas of the city centre are only a short walk away. All of the hotel staff we met were helpful, friendly and professional and they made our stay a very pleasant one. There is a good choice of food on the breakfast buffet. Our room was comfortable and was cleaned every day. Our room was on the first floor and for anyone with access issues it is worth noting that the lift stops at a landing between floors, rather than at the floor itself. "

"We stayed for only three nights but had an entirely positive experience. We had a large and spacious room with a separate bedroom. Nearby restaurants offered good food and great service, and an indoor swimming pool, included in the price, was just steps away. We will definitely return."
