Tops House is an elegant, designer villa that features a large, open-plan living and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Set on an elevated lot, the living space of this home opens to gracious verandas on both the front and back of the property, with a private swimming pool to the side. The villa is centrally located at the top of the main hill in Governors Harbour and is part of the distinguished Governors Harbour Collection of vacation rentals.

Tall ceilings throughout Tops House create a sense of grandeur and spaciousness. The two bedrooms both contain en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. Sliding glass doors in each open onto a shared wrap-around veranda. The master bedroom features a King 4-poster bed with Posturepedic mattress. The second bedroom has two Twins that convert into a second King (on request) with a plush, pillow-top mattress cover. There is an additional 1/2 bathroom with full laundry to the side of the kitchen.

Outside the villa, there are landscaped garden areas and decks as well as a small private swimming pool and patio area. At the guest's option, the pool can be heated for a fee of $250 per week. There is also a more recently added roof-top deck, which is perfectly positioned for admiring the beautiful blues of the ocean just beyond French Leave Beach at the bottom of the hill. A complimentary golf cart is included with the rental for easy access to this beach.

Additional amenities at Tops House include high efficiency air-conditioning throughout, cable TV, high-speed wireless internet, washer and dryer, and an outdoor gas grill. There are also beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and several cooler bags provided for beach days.

For parents travelling with infants and young toddlers, the property managers can arrange for a traveler crib/pack n' play, high chair, and beach toys available for your convenience.

Tops House can be rented along with other homes on the estate to accommodate larger groups. Daily housekeeping, a private chef, in-home spa treatments, and other services are always available for an additional charge.

The town of Governor's Harbour, a three-minute walk down the hill, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897. Governor's Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governor's Harbour, is a weekly street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street until late!

A stroll downhill from the estate in the other direction leads to French Leave Beach, one of the finest beaches on the island and one of the great beaches of the Caribbean. By foot, it’s about 8 minutes to French Leave, a mile-long crescent of pink sand which is literally deserted most of the time. By golf cart, French Leave Beach is no more than 3 minutes from Tops House.

The island of Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, many unique beaches, historic churches and 19th century homes, and small villages to explore.
