The children loved the fact that there are two staircases! The bedrooms are plentiful and comfortable with nice bedding. There are plenty of bathrooms too. "Walking the West Highland Way takes you past the house so it was ideal for our needs. Our host made checking in and our stay very easy so top marks all round for his house. Very well appointed property and the log burner was most welcome. Well done."

"There was a Christmas tree and decorations which made the house feel quite festive. The house was very comfortable and warm with plenty of space for the family of 5 adults and a dog. The facilities were a bit mixed - The living room tv was not working but this was sorted quite quickly. The kitchen is great to cook in but could do with another fridge or wine cooler as only a standard under worktop one provided. Not quite enough for lots of food and drinks. "The cottage is located just over a mile from the A811 to Drymen. Be careful at the junction a road mirror for exiting would be useful, and is about 2 miles from Drymen which is a lovely village with good places to eat and drink. During July and August a pipe band plays on the village green on a Thursday evening. The cottage is surrounded by fields containing free range chickens and pigs and there was a small hen house in the cottage garden. Sadly during our visit the hens were on go slow and we...

"Plenty of room in the cottage and each bedroom had a bathroom. Woke up to the sound of cows mooing in the field opposite and saw a hare on the lane a few times. Within reasonable driving distance of Troon, very nice seaside town and golf course, Dumfries Castle and excellent pub in the nearby village of Fenwick."

"Barn was lovely. Very clean had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy. Hosts were lovely and provided amazing welcome back for us. Location was lovely and peaceful. Lots DVD books games and blankets in the barn. Had lovely fire although weather was mild so we didnt need to use. Would highly recommend"
