"Unfortunately we had a really unpleasant experience with renting this cabin. In the end we left without staying there and now are fighting to get a refund because it was not as advertised. When we arrived there was nobody there and also nobody reachable by phone and nobody calling back. The cabin was dirty with dog hair and other dirt on the carpets and also on the bed-covers. "The property was nicely secluded, with multiple trails leading up to the top of the escarpment with a lovely view of Golden Lake. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the AC was perfect for sleeping as we went in a 35° July heatwave. Great little fire pit with affordable firewood supplied by the hosts. Be mindful of leaving any dry food in the screened-in kitchenette if going out for more than an hour -- the local chipmunks are hungry and know what they're looking for. Only minor...
