The Purcell House is a unique getaway 5 min from Golden. Escape to this private unit tucked away on our quiet property, and enjoy both forest & mountain views.

We are 15 min from Kicking Horse Mtn with year round outdoor activities. Also less than 5 min to the Golden Skybridge (Canada's highest suspension bridge), Purcell Heli Skiing & multiple rafting companies. Easy travel to Mt Seven mountain biking, Bugaboos climbing and many national parks.

You will stay in your own cabin that sleeps 2-8 people. The master bedroom has a queen bed and twin pull out couch with an ensuite half bathroom. The second private bedroom has 3 twin beds with a private bathtub. There is a full bathroom on the main floor, with a futon in the living room. Also includes full kitchen, large living room, and dining room table with enough seating for everyone. Enjoy gorgeous views of the Purcell Mountain range with a BBQ! Or, cozy up inside by the wood-stove and watch the hummingbirds, deer, read a book, or play a board game. Fire wood is included and free parking on site.

Additional baby items are available upon request. Outdoor burning of any kind is strictly prohibited including fireworks. No smoking indoors but ash trays will be provided outside if required.

Nice spot
Really nice location with a view. Hosts responded quickly. Really good sized master bedroom. Bit awkward getting to the kids room up a steep ladder through the main bathroom.

Lovely place
We really enjoyed our time here. It was clean and had everything we could need. It would have been good to know that the bedroom with twin beds was up a steep ladder and that there was a shared wall with a tenant. Maybe I missed that? Fortunately it worked for us. All in all it was a good place for our needs and traveling with dogs.

Great space in and out! Lovely mountain view.
House was clean and well kept. LOTS of space in this house. Everything worked as it should. Frances was very friendly and gave us good advice on what to check out in the area, but only engaged in passing if we initiated conversation, so I felt like we had lots of space even though they were on the same property. We really enjoyed the yard space in the country side with the beautiful mountain view. Very quiet and serene. I would have liked to had blinds on the windows, particularly in the bedrooms so we could have kept our sleeping later, but this is easily resolvable. There were some toys and a play structure on property that was a great asset to have while traveling with my 3yo. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Frances!! :)

Property was close to town, very clean and spacious, beds comfortable. But the strangest thing was that all bathrooms/toilet/shower areas had windows nearby with 0 coverings. In fact, not a single window had any coverings on it, so if you wanted a space to change with privacy, you had to duck into a corner or else go into the bedroom upstairs with the 3 twin beds. The master bedroom has a strange bathroom with no door but just a half open area so that you'd need to lock the whole bedroom just to go to the bathroom. Main floor bathroom shower was at the bottom of the stairs to the kids room...also with no door, so if you wanted to shower in private, the entire area had to be clear. And it's not like you're in woods somewhere, there's people on all sides of the place so they're walking 3 ft from the windows all the time. Other than privacy and the oddness of the house layout, it is a great location and very comfortable and clean.
