"Easily the best place I stayed in whilst in Japan. It’s a ryokan and yet it has full 5 star hotel features. I chose a room with a private outdoor Onsen bath and kaiseki dinner option. Room was huge (75sq/m) with a separate bedroom, living room and sitting area with a wood burner. I started the fire and sat there for hours in between my private lovely hot onsen. "The purpose for our visit was to relax quietly after a busy 6 days in Tokyo and Kyoto and experience a traditional Japanese ryokan accommodation and that’s exactly what we got. Our room could not have been more spacious (we did have the largest room) with an indoor balcony with two chairs that looked over the small garden, a large sleeping space and separate private bathroom and porch area.
