"Trust your GPS! The winding road to the cottage will get you there! Our adult family of 7 enjoyed our stay at Gabriel’s cottage. The hammocks were perfect for all sizes and we used the hot tub, volleyball net and fire pit often. As advertised there is no oven but the “baking bbq” did its job just fine. The hill to the lake is steep but once you make it down the lake is beautiful. Beds were clean and comfortable. My suggestion to the host is to make a few minor modifications for the perfect...

"This cottage is a perfect location to enjoy nature and go slow. The lakefront area is perfect for a bonfire night and enjoy the sound of water and falling leaves. The cottage is very clean and updated - you have everything for your kitchen, ample space for two small families. The owner is very prompt in his responses and helped us in sending back the items we left in the cottage. "We had a week at Erika's cottage this fall and it was absolutely lovely. The cottage is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, the location is stunning, and the screened in porch was an absolute added bonus. We were also really delighted we could bring our cat with us, and that the screened in porch was there so she could safely enjoy the location too :-) All of the instructions, access, setup, and process for the cottage was clear and easy. "Our family (2 daughters, 3 grandsons 8-23) had a super week on Varty Lake. The Cottage is very comfortable and the two rooms were good for young & older. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of supplies, towels etc. Having the canoe, kayak, paddleboat, two paddle boards was amazing and all were used and enjoyed. Biking along the roads & Cataraqui trail was great. Swimming was good. Games room was enjoyed by the younger boys/young men. Mo was excellent in communicating with us, before and during our stay....

"We very much enjoyed our stay. The hosts are wonderful - friendly, flexible, accommodating, great communication. Cozy, comfortable cottage, with everything ready for a fun time. We appreciated having access to a few different boats, as well as the library and games room. The lake is beautiful, with a charming little town nearby. The water was very calm when we were there, and we saw a ton of fish jumping. There are other cottages close by on the property, which limits privacy somewhat."

"Reminded us of my grandparents old camp on Lake Ontario….comfortable and rustic. We and our puppies fully enjoyed the water, boats and wildlife. When it rained we made the trek into the adorable town of Westport and then Perth. Great time reconnecting with each other without TV. Rich was very helpful!"
