"Stay here if you want a relaxing visit near Ubud. Takes an hour and half from the airport and 30ish minutes from the center of Ubud without traffic. The grounds are beautiful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, ordered a la carte. I had dinner onsite and ordered room service as well. Both meals were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. They offer complimentary tea and small bites in the afternoon. That was enjoyable. I stayed in a room overlooking the smaller pool. The room was basic, but had everything I needed. The only negative was that my room was near the housekeeper room and I could hear them go and out often but I was rarely in my room. I would highly recommend this place and come back and stay in their villas. "

"An all round amazing stay! All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was FANTASTIC; comfy large bed, great size balcony and fruit plates!! We had an elephant directly outside our room but could see 5 in the mornings. The park itself is beyond words; the elephant interactions are next level but the grounds a alaso beautiful, so many different plants and little hidden benches all through the park. Not sure wgat happened to the buffet breakfast as was advertised on the menu but we were told they only have buffet lunch.. ala carte menu was still great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MAGICAL EXPERIENCE IF YOU LOVE ELEPHANTS!!!"

"Fantastic stay. Extended an extra night. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet when they had it was very good. Some days it was a la carte. Very clean and quick housekeeping. Bathrooms were open to the air. Easy access to the private beach area. Beautiful view of the sunset"

"First of all embracing the amazing jungle view from the river front villa is amazing, also the room is huge and the breakfast is among the best in Bali island. Amy and Sugara are quite professional and they were able to meet all our requirements in a timely fashion. I found laundry service fee kind of expensive but it would not matter considering all the positive aspects. Its a quite hotel close to ubud market area and other attractions. If i visit the island again, Kupu Kupu Barong would be a great place to stay again. "

"We did not get the rooms we paid for. The hotel was dirty. Far from everything. Limited food options. Staff were very polite and friendly but I would not recommend staying there. "
