"I stayed here with my brother twice - once at beginning, then again at the end of a Switzerland trip. This is an older European hotel, and so twin beds, small, few frills. But they do it well - it is very convenient to the rail transport, pedestrian tourist district, etc… if you are flying in and using trains to get around, this is a clean, safe, convenient option if you don’t have desk work to do and you are not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. "We had a wonderful 24 hours at the Altstadt Hotel. It is centrally located and we were able to walk everywhere. The bar/cafe was a lovely place to sit outside for tea and a beer before we left for the train to the airport. We found the small elevator a tight fit for ourselves and luggage. That was the only hint of inconvenience."
