"We spent a wonderful weekend here with extended family and it was a perfect gathering place for our big crew with lots of kids. There was enough space for us to eat meals together and room for kids to play both inside and out. We also took the very short drive to Barren River state park to hike. "

"We had a very nice stay and found the cabin while searching for a home close to Mammoth Cave National Park. The home is an easy 30 minute drive to the park or to Glasgow for groceries. It is very clean, nicely decorated and had everything we need.The host was very good with communications and directions were easy to follow. I highly recommend this home."

The only things keeping it from being an actual oasis are the lack of a comfortable king size bed in the master (the queen bed/mattress is not comfortable at all), the rest of the main floor furniture has seen better days, and the lack of furniture in places you expect it (no coffee table or table lamp in living room next to the chairs, no bedside table on the right side of the master bed, no chair or additional...

"We had a lot of fun in our short stay. The property was clean, there were a lot of spaces to gather and relax, the beds (especially the bunks) were extremely comfortable, and the hot tub was perfect. I had a great time getting up early and reading near the fire pit. The kitchen is really well-stocked with anything you might need to make a meal. The local host is really kind and responsive if you have any questions. We would stay here again for sure."

"Very clean, small cabin. It was perfect for our group (me, my husband, 2 boys and my mom). My oldest (11) was a little too big for the beds in the loft, so he slept on the couch. But my youngest (8) loved his little upstairs cave! We very much enjoyed our stay."

"We chose this location for our Fall break as it offered a little bit of everything we are interested in. Fishing, hiking (waterfall, cave and semi-dry riverbed were a blast!), golf nearby, as well as horse riding. The property was just as described, clean, and perfect for our fall break. There are enough reataurants nearby offering a good meal, and we cooked at home a few nights. We definitely didn’t want to leave when our time was up. "This is a very nicely restored and updated "Kentucky cabin", located in a nice location near a large lake and Mammoth Cave NP. We especially enjoyed the great room and fireplace, which was an excellent setting for our family to gather and enjoy each other's company. The host was excellent, responsive, and great to work with."

Great Stay, Very Nice Property, Responsive Host

"We stayed for 8 nights here, with 8-9 people (6 kids), and had a great stay at this property and would recommend it to other potential renters, with some things to consider. I'll be as objective as I possibly can. Keep in mind that the while the house accommodates up to 15, if you're actually staying with a big group of people for more than a just few nights, you may run out of certain supplies (trash bags, dishwasher pods, etc).Pros:Gated neighborhood - secure and peacefulGreat communication from host - very responsiveGood location - near Barren River Lake, Glasgow, and ScottsvilleHouse is very nice - spacious, clean, cozy, and comfortableHouse is supplied with a wide variety of useful itemsGreat large back deck with chairs, grill, and "fire table" for relaxing outside (front porch with chairs also)Con (only 1):Literally the only thing to note is that the property sits on a very steep slope, which can make for tricky driving conditions if it's snowy or slightly icy. It also makes it difficult for outdoor yard activities (ball playing, etc). I realize this may not be important for some, but it is for us, since we are an outside family most of the time. Not the end of the world, but just be aware if that is important to you. See above about outdoor decking/front porch.Overall, a great stay and I would recommend it to others!"

"Desk clerk was very helpful. Able to swap my room to the quiet end of the hall on second floor by stairs per my request. The room was very clean. The kick back snack/drink time had an adequate selection. Not too good for the healthy eaters however. The pool and hot tub were did the trick after a long day of travel. There is lots of room out back to walk dogs if you need that. Tons of restaurants and shopping near, some walkable."
