"Gorgeous lodge near Kruger with a pottery workshop on site. Bring your own dinner and you can relax around the fire at night and listen to the hyenas. Excellent breakfast and one morning an elephant appeared at the pond. Great service, lovely pool and friendly staff. If you are lucky the architect - Tom- May tell you the history of this beautiful spot. Our favourite in 2 months. "

"First of all I just want to thank the owner and manager that provided us with such welcoming and compassionate company. I will say he is the main attraction of this hidden jewel accommodation. "This property was in a very quiet and rural place, which is exactly what we wanted, to be near wildlife and nature. The housecwas very clean and had everything one needed to make the stay comfortable. Chantal the owner kept great communication with me and even got us discounts at various excursions! The housekeeper Ingrid was very welcoming and came to meet us even though we got late arriving! Will recommend to everyone and will hopefully be going back again. "

Staff would assist with anything uncluding washing up and laundry, so not really "self-catering" if you wish. Note: parys of road can be rough depending on rainfall so I would not use a sedan, but at least a light SUV. "
