"The house was beautiful inside and out. Everything was very clean and very comfortable, and the view of the lake was outstanding. For the winter months the lower level with the pool table was cold, but we were still able to enjoy it. The host of the property had exceptionally good communication and was attentive and helpful. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely go back again. "

"Michelle made our experience super easy and memorable! Drive up a private road and a pretty steep hill (4wd a must in winter) to a secluded, beautiful house with plenty of space. Just you and nature. The house itself has all the amenities - full kitchen, sitting areas, and even a wood stove that Michelle started up before we got there. "Me and a few friends stayed at the River House during a long weekend during the Winter. The house itself was very nice and had many amenities.The location is good for some of the ski resorts in lower Vermont. However there was a rather large snow storm and due to the half hour 40 minute drive to the mountain we were not able to go because of the roads. This was no fault of the owners obviously but if you want to guarantee getting to the mountain maybe pick a place closer and have access to a car...

"We had a blast. The fireplace and the hot tub added so much magic. The kitchen is insanely well stocked. At some point we needed batteries, and we found some in a drawer, which really made my day! Not to mention, there are so many fun board games! overall, our trip was amazing!There are very few downsides that I can think of, one being the beds probably. The mattresses are not comfortable. But that was fine. I also wish the hot tub had a cup holder. But again, these are very nit-picky things."
