"Wonderful property with a fabulous dock on a saltwater flat. Cottage was tidy and had all of the nececcities one would need. Stellar back porch with fans and a great view. The Wi-Fi worked great during my stay and the AC quickly cooled the unit. The hostess was interesting, engaging and responsive, although I did not need to reach out for any logistical reasons. Listing was accurate and possibly undersells the fantastic view, sunset and dock. There were few surprises as the descrition is fairly accurate. Some things to be aware of, which are mostly mentioned in other comments: Dogs (they were great, but know they are around), roads (not so great, but it was expected), during my stay, there were (3) one person kayaks (which was fine for me), "the washroom", which is an outside locked room next to the garage, (key in desk drawer) holds a treasure trove of goodies, including the cushions for all the outside furniture, snorkel gear, the good paddles for kayak, washer/dryer etc..I had no idea until my last day. After you book, there is also a requirement to leave $125 in cash for cleaning on your departure. I was aware of this before booking from reading other reviews. All and all a fantastic location, hostess, and destination. "

"Love this home! Loved we had a beach that we could just walk out into the ocean! Kids loved the pool,there was everything you need for pool and beach time! we loved the roof top with fire box! 2 washers and dryers were used daily! Will differently stay here again! "

"Lovely home right on the beach on Tar Bay. 2 big bedrooms with King Beds. Great covered porch and wonderful view! Communication was quick and friendly. Definitely will go back! Soon!"

"What an amazing place. The description and pics are very accurate. There is plenty of space to hang out inside or outside. Pool is great and heated. Fire table is a nice touch as night when it is a little chilly (we visited in December during a cold streak). Beds are comfortable. 2 washer/dryers. VRBO has all the extras for doing day trips (cooler, snorkel gear, life jackets, fishing poles). Great amount of dishes and cookware. The kayaks were awesome and allowed us to explore right outside of our house. The beach is nice and sandy, some reef in the water that we snorkled around. Saw a few small fish. You really can't go wrong, this place is amazing!"

"The Sandbar is an incredible ocean front home on one of the most beautiful beaches you’ll ever see. Our 9 night stay there as a family of 10 was perfect and Heather was most helpful in planning our vacation-from activities to chef services to just enjoying the house. The house itself is stunning, comfortable and well stocked. She has thought of everything. I highly recommend this property and host and hope we will be returning again. I can’t imagine ever staying anywhere else on the island. A true gem! "
