The building is very attractive; the proprietor was very pleasant; the breakfast was good. The room was spacious & clean but badly thought out - e.g. amongst other things, power sockets for the bedside were behind the bed and inaccessible, the loo was situated below a very low, sharp point of the ceiling, the curtains served no purpose at all. "Beautiful views and very quiet."

"Had a few issues due to booking via Hotels.com, but the owners and staff at the property were great. The suite we had was massive, with 2 bath/shower rooms, and both had great views. There was a well equipped kitchen available if you wanted to self-cater. Free parking on site, and only a short walk to the beautiful town of Traben-Trabach. Only a short stay this time, but I hope to return for a week next year, to take advantage of the hiking, cycling and wine in the area. Many thanks to Niels...

"Vriendelijk ontvangst. Zeer netjes en schoon. Parkeren voor de deur. Ideale locatie om wandelingen en fietstochten te starten. Kortom perfect!!!!"

"Sehr gut gelegen. Zu Fuß kann man wunderbar den Ort erkunden. Sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung. Man ist sehr schnell in Bernkastel-Kues, Traben Trabach, etc. Wir als Hundebesitzer wurden herzlich aufgenommen und man hat schöne Möglichkeiten, mit dem Hund zu laufen. Alles in Allem empfehlenswert."

"Wir haben mit Freunden in Wochenende an der Mosel verbracht und sind auf das Gästehaus Kiebel gestoßen. Es ist ein sehr schönes, uriges Anwesen. Die Zimmer für die Gäste sind sehr modern eingerichtet, hell und sauber. Der Frühstücksraum ist ebenfalls sehr schön. Das Frühstück wurde in Büffetform angerichtet. Dabei blieb eigentlich kein Wunsch offen: Kaffee, Tee, verschiedene Sorten Marmalade, Wurst, Käse, Quark, frisches Obst, Säfte. Auch Allergien wurden berücksichtigt und eine Mitreisende hat,...

"ein privat geführtes Haus mit Familienanschluss. Sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant im St. Maternus Keller ist top restauriert und sehr gemütlich. Das Essen und die Weine entsprachen unseren Erwartungen. Alles in allem, ein gelungener Besuch bei Familie Derkum"

"Leider war das Hotel geschlossen. Über eine Sprechanlage teilte man uns mit, dass der Eigentümer das Hotel zum Jahreswechsel als geschlossen gemeldet hat. Dann wäre er bereit gewesen, uns ein Zimmer zu geben, jedoch in einem leeren Hotel und ohne Frühstück. Nach kurzem Warten haben wir uns entschlossen, eine andere Unterkunft für die Silvesternacht zu suchen. Was natürlich um 18.30 Uhr nicht so leicht war."

"Great spacious 1 room apartment. All new. Clean. Very well equipped. Free coffee and tea. Own wifi. Elevator. Great bakery downstairs. Gas station nearby. Historic downtown is 15 minutes walking distance. Parking can be tricky..but free spots can be found. Watch out -main road access is a one way road. "

"This is a very unique property in that you check yourself in through a machine and locate your room by yourself. There is a communal dining area where you can prepare your own food. We had an issue with noise, being at the front of the hotel, and the manager who was present in the morning moved us and upgraded us to a remarkable room with a balcony! This is a beautiful property! It is very unique. The service was outstanding!"

"My family loved our stay at Romantic Hotel! We stayed in two deluxe rooms and they were beautiful and spacious. The hotel provided an arrival gift -- fresh fruit, chocolates, and water. There was a little noise from the street in the evening but it quieted at bedtime. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to fix an issue with a missing key. The buffet breakfast was delicious. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Trier. "
