"The most unique thing about the property was the owner, Carol. From the moment I entered until the time I left I felt like I was home and visiting with a friend. The property is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the check in instructions were very clear, and the homemade breakfast was delicious!! (menu changed every day and if you had to leave early Carol would pack up a breakfast for you. I stayed 3 nights, great pricing, and again the most Amazing host!! And I will add that Carol is quite the artist. I would list all of her abilities but there is not enough room or time. Carol has a small gift shop in her home as well...I didn't want to leave. Did I say that it is a beautiful location, looking out on the lake!!! "

We stopped by the local museum and the statue of the famous sled dog Balto who helped to run the diphtheria serum to Nome along with Togo."
