"This hotel was beautiful, the service excellent, and the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. This is a historical hotel which was a victim/and witness to the genocide of 1994. And yet they have carried on and risen above the horrific events of that time; and have turned this hotel into the beautiful place it is. There is a plaque at the front of the hotel commemorating the hotel staff that had been killed during this time of genocide. God bless these people for their courage in being able to move on with their lives. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to go to Kigali to stay at this hotel"
