"I loved this hotel. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it has a wonderful, African vibe. The food is excellent, and the pool & gardens are lovely. The furnishings are very simple, I don’t expect luxury from a small property in bush. If you need a place close the airport that is clean and quiet, I can recommend this spot. I would stay again. "

"It was very relaxing place to be right above the beach with beach access. However the beach has a lot of debris from as that area is mostly used by fishermen. I stayed 8 nights with my 2 kids. Our room was spacious with a bounce bed and 2 twin beds. The beds we comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that when the weather is hot, it is hotter in the room because it is up stairs and there is no AC. Only half of our stay was hot enough to complain about. "Chez Lillie was a great stay, the entire staff and pets on property are friendly. I’d suggest Google Maps for clear directions to the property. I would recommend going to the property for a couple of days for a stay-cation. 8/10, I loved it! "

"I’m still a little shocked at the room we were provided given the $300USD per night cost. It was in shambles. So out of date. Spiders and ants in the restroom. Crumbling walls. We decided to tough it out since we were there for one night and mainly to use the beach (which was very nice). But we have a 11 month old baby and when we got back from dinner there was a giant water bug or cockroach running around the bathroom. I couldn’t have my baby sleeping in a crib with so many bugs around. I was shocked they gave us this room, knowing we had an infant and putting us all the way at the end, where the sounds from the nightly hotel entertainment were audible. When I showed reception a video of the bug, they gave us a new room right away. This room was much nicer and perhaps more in line with the cost but I think the room is probably even more expensive than the $322 we paid. The dinner buffet was lovely. The beach is huge and clean. The pool is outdated, mocktail was watered down. I would not recommend this hotel for the price tag but not sure what the other option around Saly would be. "
