"What a wonderful stay! This is a very unique opportunity to stay in an active Monastery. The grounds are buildings are beautiful and well preserved. The room was simple, but spacious and very comfortable. The Friars are warm and welcoming; they welcome participation in prayers and services, though there is no expectation to do so. "10 minute walk to the historic centre of town over a very impressive viaduct that is purely for pedestrian traffic. lots of places to eat and drink that can accommodate any pocket. Good value for money, secure garage parking for a small charge; the room was spotless and the shower was fantastic! Only down side ,the double bed was a touch on the small side. "

It could be set iup to have more inviting public spaces. Sections such as the salon and the pool are very dated. Staff is very friendly and helpful which goes a long way."
