"The hotel has character but it is very basic. Breakfast is not available. There is no restaurant. The wifi mostly did not work. There was a complex device for showers that did not work properly and flooded the bathroom. The towels had seen better days. There was no TV. The room was not serviced in the three days I stayed in Galle. On the positive side, the location on Church St was excellent, the AC and fan both worked, there was a small fridge, and there was a pleasant balcony with chairs. The...

"We had the best time at Serendipity Lake house. Chathuranga was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It’s so peaceful and relaxing, and the food is delicious. It’s very clean and well kept, oh and the boat trip around the lake and kayaking are a must! Thank you for making our time with you so special 🙏 "

"This hotel is a big con / rip off. THERE IS NO ROAD TO THIS PROPERTY. Must cross the jungle for 1/2 kilometers Don’t pick unless u have a Motorcross bike. Once I was there I can not find transportation out there go anywhere. Hotel care taker said he will drive me with hotel tuk tuk but he is rarely available. "We had a wonderful stay at Villa Golden, stayed the whole of in February 2025, hence returning next year (2026). Susantha (House Manager) is a credit to the business, welcoming, professional, very helpful and great with the arrangement of tours and travelling. "The property is located in a well kept garden next to a small but beautiful beach. Rooms are well kept and relaxing. The staff are fantastic and always willing to accommodate requests. "The property never got our reservation, so showed up and no one was there. This, however, didn't appear to be Amara's fault. Ana was very apologetic and tried to make the most of it. Property is nice though, but it's more suited for a full rent out than just a couple looking for a get away."

Hillside gem 💎 in Unawatuna

"I spent 2 blissful nights relaxing here in a panoramic ocean view room which definitely lived up to its name with spectacular views free rom large windows and a balcony. The restaurant and rooftop bar/ lounge are super friendly and the live music on one night was amazing! The infinity rooftop pool was refreshing and again... those views is Hotel has an elevator which is an added bonus too and there is a free shuttle to Jungle Beach!"

"My family ( 2 Adults , 1 infant , 1 kid ) loved the 5 night / 6 day stay at Taj Bentota for many reasons : - Quality of service was excellent . Sam , Nuwan , Ravindra at the Palms restaurant made sure we felt at home. Room Boy Gagan treated the kids with his artistic work every time he cleaned the room. - Exceptional food at the Palms restaurant. Chefs Paramesh and Dalip Singh prepared great Indian vegetarian food for us. They took extra efforts to make sure baby food for my infant was absolutely home like, every single day! Sri Lankan food suggested by Chef Dalip was top notch . - Fun activities kept us engaged . Aqua aerobics coach Janaka made sure we lost some calories gained at the Palms . Face painting & other kids activities kept them happy . - Clean water at the pool & easy beach access . - The tease bar had live music during the evenings while we sipped our drinks to pleasure. This place comes highly recommended from my family ! Happy vacationing ! "
