"Had a great pleasant stay at the resort, staff were all helpful and attentive. Very nice view and the beach was awesome. The hotel manager was very attentive to details and we felt their warmth and enthusiasm to make guests had the best experience. Though there’s a suggestion for improvement: The curtain is not wide enough to block the light from the great sunshine of Okinawa, so we were woken up by the bright sunlight after sunrise. Sometimes we just wanted to sleep in for a bit later, but it’s difficult with this bright daylight. "

"I had the pleasure of staying at Halekulani Okinawa as part of a five-week tour of Japan. While I originally booked Halekulani as a short personal break, I was completely blown away by the experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The front desk team made check-in effortless, even during a busy time, and every team member I encountered from housekeeping to the breakfast staff, pool team and beyond was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. The level of consistency across the board was truly remarkable. But it was the team at SHIROUX that left the deepest impression. I dined there twice and can confidently say it was one of the best culinary experiences of my life. The dishes were imaginative, perfectly balanced, and deeply thoughtful—worthy of Michelin star recognition. The service was flawless on both visits, with special thanks to the exceptional Dave and the warm reception team who made every moment feel personal. A particular highlight was the bar experience, where Mai Seike crafted cocktails that rival the very best I’ve had anywhere—London, New York, Tokyo, you name it. Her creations were complex, original, and utterly unforgettable. Halekulani has proven that even a large-scale resort with over 300 rooms can still deliver five-star hospitality with soul. "Staff was friendly and professional. If you are a foreigner that speaks English almost every sign I saw was translated. The amenities were on every floor and were quite convenient. There is an Izakaya on the property that serves a complimentary mixed sashimi dish if you show a room key. The atmosphere of the hotel was very pleasant. As we do not drive a car we did a lot of walking and took local transportation whenever possible. If you happen to stay here there are some local attractions such as Pineapple park and Fruitsland which I recommend for the kids (we enjoyed it as well). Most of what we experienced was by walking. The hotel is pretty close to the beach and the view is stunning. We did a lot of exploring by foot and found ourselves at old town Nago which led us to discover many hidden treasures. This was a trip we will not forget. Thank you again to the staff at Phoenix Park Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable."

"I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff is very accommodating. Although it is necessary to know that water sports and othet appointment type things mostly need a prior booking which we didnt know. But we werent there long sp we just enjoyed the facility. Its an absolutely beautiful spot. The breakfast buffet is great, but for dinner i recommend going down the way. Ocean Boo was incredible, but the other spots near by smelled amazing too. Definitely some late night eats available nearby in a pinch."

"Great location right on the beach. Multiple dining options with either breakfast buffet or lunch buffet included. choice of dinner buffets available. Transportation to/from Naha airport available via Airport Limousine Bus or local bus (extra cost) - make sure to co-ordinate flights with bus schedules. Property is showing it's age a little but overall excellent value although a lot of recreational amenities are extra. "
