"Communication between Hotels Com and corner cottage did not exist.. We were lucky to find the hotel not. fully booked. How does hotels come confirm our booking without consulting corner cottage.. For the first time we had to pay extra 10 pula per person for tourism.. Why was it not included in the beginning "

"We have indeed had to change our plans based on our experience on arrival at the Golden Door in Gaborone. We were shown to the room called "Pearl" which with a quick look round showed it to be unclean. There was a general damp smell about the room. The mirror sliding wardrobe door had a crack down its full length. There were dirty marks on the sliding door to the bathroom, matchsticks and dirt in the carpet and a general lack of care. "I did not stay at this property. It was a scam. The location and map provided did not match the actual location in Gaborone, which ended up being in a shanty town of the city. When contacted by phone, the person from the guest house said they were going to place me in ‘another location’ because they were full. This obviously sounded wrong to me, and I refused to stay. It was an unsafe choice, and I decided not risk it. I have contacted the Expedia team to let them know about this scam."
