Shower and onsen were spacious and the room came with kitchenette including stove, fridge and microwave. Good location within walking distance of restaurants, stores and some local attractions. "

However, it was let down in a couple of respects - the floor was not as clean as it could have been and there was very limited hanging space. Also, although the communication prior to arrival was clear the check in process itself was unnecessarily bureaucratic and time consuming. Having registered each member of our party online prior to arrival we then, on arrival, still needed to submit individual photos of each member...

"The place was super clean and comfortable. Close to the Kinugawa Onsen Station. However it’s a bit far if your main interest is to go see the shrines in Nikko. No convenience stores nearby. It would take good 20 min to walk to the nearest grocery store. 2 min by car. It’s a great place if you have a car. "

"We had a fantastic stay at this Ratuken property! The fit out of the projector in the bedroom, and the comfortable furniture make this a very comfortable stay for two. It would easily handle more people. It's a sizeable apartment. The private semi-outdoor onsen/bath with artificial minerals is a fantastic touch. Very relaxing! It's a short walk from town and there are convenience stores nearby. Highly recommended! "
