"We were pleasantly surprised that the property could comfortably fit 12 people—something most rentals struggle with. The beautiful view and private dock were absolutely perfect! The lake itself was stunning, huge, and so quiet that it felt like we had our own private space. "WE had a family vacation with 4 children 9-18 years and 6 adults. The place is as described, but one needs to read the description carefully - see next re water access. The access to the water is not easy as it is down a path through rocks and when you get to the water it is all green and slimy with a dock covered in goose poop. We did go kayaking, but swimming etc. is not an option. You can go to other beaches, but the lake had an E.coli outbreak so there was no swimming. An in-ground pool...

"The cottage is small and more suitable for 2 adults, not 4. However cottage has everything you need during your stay. Comfortable bed in master bedroom. 2 level bed in other room needs to be lubricated so it doesn't squeak. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, weather was perfect, lake was full of fish :)"

"Group of 5 adults stayed here. Plenty rooms with AC in most of them. Place was spacious. Hot tub was nice and all 5 fit in there. The water is essentially a pond or maybe classified as a marsh so it was too small to enjoy the boats (for us) but it made for a nice scenic setting. Host is very responsive and helpful. Would come back here for sure. "

"Thank you Dwayne for sharing your lovely house. We all loved sitting out on the huge decks and enjoying the peace and quiet. Only issue the house is not handicap accessible. Otherwise loved it We traveled the area and the many locks, we could have spent all of our time there watching the process. My daughter-in-law even had a chance to turn the wheel to open the lock for the boats. "

"My extended family and friends had a just wonderful month with Ed and Julie. Ed and Julie are superb hosts and The Blue Heron house is very welcoming with comfortable space for the whole family. We had so much fun with the boats and swimming in the St Lawrence and so much enjoyed this Frontenac Arch region. We took many exploring day trips to surrounding towns and the Rideau Canal. I can not recommend this home and hosts enough."

"I went there with my family for a vacation for 7days. The house was great The hot tub in the first day doesn’t was clean the water was in there green and smell bad, but the property owner allows us to change the water. The owner was very friendly , but he has a helper who came to the house around 3-4 times and she lying about everything to the owner from us. She’s not a nice person she was with us very rude. Except this “helper women” our stay was great"
