"Room was clean and functional; hotel very close to railway station, easily walked with suitcase. Automated check-in was easy on a machine in entrance (entrance is a side door to left of hotel front) - you need a passport number for checkin, but be warned no actual human at hotel reception. A little noisy initially from other guests, although I was in bed early - was quiet during night. Nothing special, but room clean and tidy and recently renovated by looks. Not cheap but it appears that is simply the town price when I stayed, and I had to book within a few weeks of staying. Storage lockers on site were good (took a full size suitcase) on checkout day, plus it was an 11am checkout if you needed it….. Easy walk to lakefront and good restaurants."

"Fantastic place, with excellent all over service and morning restaurant. The hotel is placed central in Friedrichshafen, and close to everything. Even Though we were on the train station, you couldn't hear the trains ore any other trafic, so perfect place, if you want to explore Bodensee. All the Staff are very friendly, speek english and fantastic helpful, if you ahve questions. We drive electrical car, and it's possible to recharge your car in the basement. Thank you for a pleasant stay. "

"Excellent friendly staff that are polite and very helpful, any questions I had were answered quickly and comprehensively. For your information, for the local tourist hotel tax you are required to pay you are entitled to a BODO card which gives you free travel on most buses and trains over a huge area. The public transport system is excellent and the hotel is just a short walk from the main bus and train station. The self service breakfast gives you a good selection to start your day, there is a restaurant also on site but I didn’t use it. The bar was good with the barman able to knock up a multitude of cocktails,, from what I witnessed. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable and perfect for me. There was a small fridge also where you could store some food and drink. There is car parking available for a fee, I'd advise informing them when you book but it is a reasonable charge in my opinion. There are also garages that can be booked, I only became aware of this on arrival and seeing cycle tourists storing their bicycles in there. Right by the promenade for pleasant walks and easy access to numerous restaurants it is an ideal choice in my book. Would I stay again? Without doubt."

"I originally booked this property from May 19 - Friday May 24, 2024 at a much lower price which the owner cancelled because he said he had not figured in the 2024 prices. I had already let him know we were coming from California for a family reunion in Germany with my husband’s family. I had no choice but to rebook this property adding 1 day for checkout at a new significantly higher price. That is not the worst of it. Our German family are extremely clean people. When we arrived there before any groceries could be put away my niece Jenny spent over an hour cleaning the large refrigerator in the main kitchen because it was so gross. In the downstairs basement bathroom and bedrooms there were hundreds of little black bugs crawling everywhere. My sister-in-laws just kept vacuuming them up. The entire house was dusty and dirty with cobwebs everywhere. I do have a lot of photos of all this. I also have a niece named Jessi that was the only person receiving communication from Herman’s wife Claudia. I never received check in info. Only Jessi did by WhatsApp. She also totally ignored me when we got to the house and started directly with Jessi. This reservation was booked by me on my VRBO account. She should have been dealing with only me unless I state otherwise. For the huge price we paid for this house for a family reunion that may never happen again I would have expected an immaculate house like we had in Fussen Bavaria and in Varenna Italy."
