I visit family once or twice a year in Freeport IL. Country Inn is perfect. In town. Close to restaurants. Free breakfast. The only reason it’s not perfect is 2x the hot tub was broke. Otherwise works well coming from out of town. Happy with their service, friendly people.

The chlorine smell from the pool knocks you on your feet when you walk in. I was going to use the pool but the smell was over whelming. The hallways are very dim. No complaints about the room itself. There's fast food options around the hotel for food. I didn't partake in the free breakfast.

We were suppose to stay here but got stuck in a snow blizzard and could not make it to Freeport. The night manager was very understanding when we called to cancel on day of and did not charge us the cancellation fee.
