"Firstly hotels.com did not send my confirmation to the hotel,i was lucky that the hotel had an available room for me and the service was amazing as they quickly cleaned up one for me and gave me a late checkout the room was nice but too much noises around the room and it was uncomfortable"

"La Cle is a stunning property with incredible grounds, attentive staff, fantastic breakfast and well-appointed rooms. We had a fantastic stay for our honeymoon and the properties private yet central location in Franschhoek was ideal for walking to restaurants, wine tram etc. Our room was clean comfortable and very nicely designed. Highly recommend and hope to revisit!"

"Nice little complex, friendly staff and restaurant attached served up an excellent dish. Just down the road from wineries and easy access to main roads. We had to leave early for a flight and staff happily assisted with bringing us breakfast the night before. Easy drive to Cape Town airport. "

We had asked if we could bring breakfast back to the room for another guest who wanted to sleep in a little bit and they said we couldnt because they were concerned that the food would sustain the sheets. Very strange response to be honest. Especially since they have a dining table and chairs in the room. Also there wasn't much variety for breakfast or many options for dinner "

"Palmiet Valley Estate is set in beautiful grounds. The food was excellent. I stayed in room No. 1, which was disappointing. I felt that the 5 star classification was a misrepresentation. The hotel is advertised to include air conditioning. Internet access, wifi, bar fridge. My room had none of these, it also had no TV. Wifi was available in the dining area and my room had a small fan Im lieue of air conditioning. The room has no windows and although the door had glass partitions, I had to either...

"The property is an a beautiful location however the décor is dated and tired and is terribly expensive for what is on offer. Service and food at the Bon Bon cafe on the property is terrible. Overall not a pleasant experience."

"No provision made with water supply when power went out due to loadshedding. You could not use the bathroom at all. NO extra drinking water in the room. Breakfast at restaurant was also not great. Sorry, not a good overall experience at all. It is situated in a beautiful area. "
