A perfect cabin on George’s Pond was just the getaway we needed. Very clean and had everything we needed. Close enough to Acadia where we spent many of our days. Communication with the owners was clear, fast, and friendly. Would love to stay here again.
Property was as advertised. Stay was pleasant, hosts were great - close by in case of issues - but none to speak of. Cabin getaway was exactly what we needed and the property was beautiful and serene. Cabin was clean and tidy which is a huge deal for my clean freak (in a good way) partner! This place is on our list if we return to Maine!
The pictures do not do this place justice. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful view of Georges Pond and not a bad drive to Acadia and shopping in Ellsworth. We will definitely be returning.

Bald eagles, osprey, and loons, oh my! What a lovely place to unwind. All the creature comforts were provided and the check-in/out was easy breezy. It was just as a vacation should be—comfortable, cozy, and what a view!
Cute cabin with a fantastic view. It's close to Acadia National Park as well as many hiking trails. We enjoyed watching and listening to the loons and bald eagles while sitting on the deck. We're so glad we chose this cabin!
This cabin had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. Nearby Ellsworth has stores for necessities and a variety of great restaurants. We drove to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and other points just south via an easy drive. Comfortable furnishings, well appointed kitchen, and kayaks, along with our own fishing dock. This place was better than any resort! Highly recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay at the camp. It was nice going down on the dock evenings relaxing and doing some fishing off the dock. We recommend any couple that would like a nice place to just kick back and relax to visit this camp. The only small complaint i have in early morning next door there was a yapping dog for about two or three hours every morning
Close to ATV trails sunrise Trail. Was rainy and foggy most of the week but we made the best of it. Turned sunny last two days. Lake is clear and beautiful. Great fishing. Don and Regina are awesome host!
The camp was clean, cozy and comfortable. It had all the amenities you would need. A great view of the water and located near many outdoor activities. My daughter loved fishing off the dock and going kayaking. The water was crystal clear for swimming as well. Overall an extremely relaxing stay! The owners were very good at communication and even got us in early the day of check in. A+ experience!!
We absolutely loved the cabin. The description is accurate. We were very comfortable. Communication with the host was great. I would definitely recommend this cabin.
Loved our time at the cabin. Georges Pond is a very clear lake. The neighborhood is quite and we really enjoyed the peacefulness. Bar Haror and Acadia National Park are about 30 minutes away. We also visited Lubec (eastern most US town) and rented ATVs for a day in the Sunshine Trail.
Highly recommend!
Everything was clean, cozy, and as described. Lake view was amazing and a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We spent five nights here and I couldn’t be happier!
I stayed at this cabin with my girlfriend. The property was as represented on Vrbo. It was clean and peaceful, and the location was perfect for our day trips to Acadia and up and down the coast from there. The canoe and kayaks were fantastic to enjoy time on the lake in our evenings and mornings. The outside porch was great for lounging, the BBQ allowed a nice change for dinner, and the sunroom was perfect for relaxing. Don and Regina were very responsive when we had questions and made sure our stay was comfortable and everything was as advertised. I can't speak to how it would be for a family, but if you are a couple looking for a great base of operations or just a relaxing place to stay you will not be sorry with this selection.
My wife and I had an awesome week at the cabin. A cozy, clean cabin on the water was just what we needed. We loved paddling and fishing especially after dinner. Thank you so much to the hosts !!
We had a great time watching a loon family of 3 that always seemed to be right out front. Their song is beautiful and very soothing. Cabin had all we needed and more. Owner was very helpful and friendly
This was a gem of a find. Cabin was spotless and beautiful, postures on a lake complete with serenading loons. Plenty of space for the two of us, lots of wonderful touches—our only regret was leaving. Thank you to our hosts for a fabulous, comfy stay!
This cabin, was truly a piece of heaven. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, this is it! We enjoyed sitting on the deck, paddling around Murch Island. We were fortunate enough to see 2 eagles and a family of Loons, that we could hear even throughout the night. This was a very enjoyable and comfortable place to enjoy our week!
Thank you, for everything ❤️
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was delightful to return to this quaint, quiet cabin after days of exploring around and in Acadia. We loved being able to sit at the table and enjoy the beautiful water. Don and Regina were very accommodating when our travel plans unexpectedly changed. We couldn’t imagine a better experience. Thank you!
Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary was important to us in more ways than one. This was our first vacation alone in the 27 years we have been together. We were in search of something special and found it in Franklin Maine. The cottage was the perfect setting for a week of relaxing and reconnecting. The owners were very accommodating and welcoming. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend our week. We are already planning for next year.
