"We always love going sprowston manor as we married their 20 years ago so for us its the meaning behind the visit. The staff are always amazing but the hotel rooms are tatty and in need of a revamp. Pillows are lumpy and mattess toppers stained. Its the little things like do not desturn signs, having 2 pillows each which are just not there anymore. "Dunston Hall was a beautiful stay. Friendly staff (especially Sally at the front desk), comfortable beds and quiet. I love historic hotels, so this definitely fit the bill. Would definitely stay here again!"

"In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. "3rd floor room, on front, road noise was very evident at all hours ... could also here other guests returning from being out at 4 am in the morning. And neighbours tv on early morning and late evening , so could improve with better sound proofing , we would stay again as it was a nice comfortable stay and it was a lovely breakfast. Thank you "

"The Rose and Crown was a lovely timber framed building but with modern facilities. The room was large, warm and comfortable with a couple of easy chairs which were an added bonus. The shower was good and easy to use. The breakfast was well presented and good and the staff were all pleasant and created a relaxed atmosphere"

"Once again, Room 101 was beautifully clean (Thank you, Charlotte in Housekeeping). Lots of Tea & Coffee, bed was crisp, white and clean, very big and very comfy. USB ports at both bedside tables - perfect! Towels folded neatly, big, white & fluffy. I love coming to Smugglers. Their Carvery is delicious and well worth the money. "

"Beautifully presented although it looked as if room accessibility for disabled guests could be an issue. Unfortunately the hotel had a big black tie dinner on the night I stayed and therefore the kitchen closed earlier than I could get there so was unable to order food. Had an offer to provide crockery etc. if I wanted to order in but felt less than totally friendly."

"Nice hotel. Great location to explore sudbury /have some lovely walks. Really comfy bed. Shower a bit lacklustre and missing a piece that hid the glue etc but for the price i was happy. Bar has amazing fireplace and the mill wheel. Well worth a visit Breakfast wise you get when you pay for"
