"We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties. We would like to return next year!"

"This house was perfect for me, my husband and my sister. We were at a lunch party on Haying Island and we were able to easily drive to Sheffield Park in the light. The parking was so convenient and the cottage was extremely well equipped, not that we needed a washing machine. I would unhesitatingly recommend it. We tried to set off the dishwasher just the once, but the top shelf was attached by elastic bands and so we didn't risk putting anything there. Had we been going to stay longer I would...

"Marvellous views over the sea.Walk to the town is about 20 mins.Very uncomfortable if walking on the shingle but ok on the road.Good food at the Indian,fish and chip shop and the local pub.Sovreighn harbour about 10 min drive with restaurants and a large Asda with plenty of free parking"

"A picture perfect cottage that is well appointed and very dog friendly. The cottage was in easy reach many of the towns on the coast, however we stayed because of its close location for a wedding and reception. "

"This is a well equipped cottage which is in a rural position on the edge of the town, accessed by a short but unlit lane. It is a 15 minute walk into the High Street and there are plenty of countryside walks from the doorstep."

"We had a great stay in this lovely little property on a working farm. The farmers were very friendly and obliging. There are so many gardens and houses to visit in the area and we got to the coast as well. We hope to return one day."

We wished we had booked for a longer stay, but intend to return in order to visit the many places of interest that are close by."

"Angel was a great host, only a whatsapp away and was very responsive. The cottage is super cool, with custom wood work surfaces and really well designed bathrooms. We didn't use the hot tub as it was heaving with rain but that would have been a really nice relaxing time if the weather was better. Loads of on street parking just outside made it easier and it's walking distance to a really nice pub. Would recommend :)"

"We had a wonderful weekend in Brighton and can’t thank the host enough for allowing us to stay. On arrival we were a little concerned at how little the cottage seemed in comparison to the photos but actually it was perfect. We were here for a 7 person Hen Do and it was the perfect location in the middle of all the hustle and bustle - not a great place for any light sleepers though as the lane is busy and the bass from surrounding pubs/clubs is loud. Central Brighton but feels like you are in the country.

"A very pleasant long weekend at North Lodge. Location is peaceful but well located, plenty of amenities nearby. The house is cute and full of character. The kitchen/diner is a particularly nice space with patio doors out to the pretty little garden with mature shrubs and seating area. The kitchen is very well appointed. "Nice, clean and comfortable property. Every that you need is supplied. Mobile & WIFI can be a bit patchy due to rural location but not an issue for us. Local area was not good for dog walking due to the wet conditions over last few months and did not want to bring back a mucky dog. Nearby Lewes was a good town with choice of shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants. Nearby ‘Rainbow’ pub do an excellent Sunday carvery. "The host is very friendly and it is great to see all their animals."

"Unusual property right in the centre of Seaford and close to the beach. I was able to park close by and parking outside is possible overnight. If the owner sorts out the hot water and TV signal issues it will be brilliant."

"Not only was this affordable with very friendly staff, but the room itself was great. Very clean & high functioning with a very comfortable bed. And fortunately we were given a room with a view of the water. Would definitely book here again."
