Ample room for everyone with the library/entertainment area, the dining room, deck, covered swimming pool and hot tub and every room with its own bathroom. Patrick couldn't have been more helpful. It was like having your own Concierge. Very helpful coming up with activities and and recommendations. The staff were friendly and took care of everything. The breakfasts delicious and large. "The house was amazing. Very well maintained and clean. The view of the lake was fantastic. No A/C but that was not a problem for us in February. Property Manager was very responsive. About 45 to 1 hour from most activities in La Fortuna which is not a bad drive. Some good restaurants nearby. The only downside was we only got to use the hot tub for a few hours on two days of our 4 day trip because it was not supposed to be part of the listing so verify availability of the hot tub if that...

"Villa el Tucan is a gem with impeccable service! Bijagua is a cute little village close to Rio Celeste with this new adorable lodge. The owners thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The cabins are cozy, clean, airy, and they even have screens on their windows and sliding glass door. Great lil porch to relax and enjoy the view. They even added a short walking trail to a refreshing river! They have thought of everything! "

"The house is so cute and cozy! It has everything that you may need for your stay. From the kitchen to the different rooms, everything is set. It is private and the lake was indeed in front. It was clean and the communication with the owner was very easy. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for, that is absolutely your place. We got rainy days which made it hard to enjoy the lake. It was also far from activities so anywhere we wanted to go took us at least an hour and a half. "

"We spent 7 nights here, and found it to be peaceful and scenic, which is what we had hoped for. The home is very well-appointed especially in the kitchen, which I appreciated since we most often cook while on vacation. Sharp knives, plenty of cutlery and dishes. The light switches were labeled, which was useful. Sheets and towels very good quality, always nice. Many afternoons spent on the porch swing overlooking the lake were very restful. "The villas are great, well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The property is beautiful and the dogs are the best part. So are the horses, goats, cows and chickens. We are so glad that the lovely staff are taking such amazing care of the animals, it is a great service they provide and a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommend"

"Place was absolutely amazing! Could not have asked for a better space or view. Even better, Coltin is by far the best property manager we’ve ever had at a rental. Not only was he there to help with the house but he and Celeste gave great recommendations on tours and even local restaurants. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!"

"We had such an amazing stay at this property. Our jaws dropped when we first walked in as the view is breathtaking. We felt very welcomed and taken care of by the staff and looked forward to coming back to our villa each day after we adventured. It was great proximity to all of the activities we did and enjoyed the scenery. I would suggest a vehicle with 4x4 to get into the property as some of the roads were rough, but it added to the fun! "Beautiful property. We were there during a heat wave. The only AC is the attic room with 1 twin and 2 futon beds. It is a duplex, but it is huge. The garage is communal, but you have your own washer and dryer."

"The trails are real singletrack mountain biking trails. We went out for 3 hours and barely covered a quarter of the terrain. The waterfalls on the grounds are amazing. The variety of birds was amazing! It's best to have a car here because the best waterfall and the hot springs are a drive away. And the breakfast buffet was phenomenal: omelets made to order, pastries, fresh orange juice, fesh fruit, yogurt, granola, and hot food like fried plantains, stewed chicken, roasted yams etc. And everything is gluten-free - celiac heaven :-)"
