"2nd visit to Fireflies, both times to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Dog walks on the New River Trail and visited a couple nearby vineyards. This made for a relaxing weekend. Like last year, the deer are entertaining to watch and they nearly come onto the back porch. "

"This house is a perfect lake house with a beautiful view. The house was well stocked and quaint. The outdoor chairs had some dry rot and were torn, but we had extra chairs with us. The dock is spectacular and the fire pit was great at night. We brought firewood but they had plenty, as well. We were there for a Virginia Tech football game and it was about 45 minutes there, but nice to have a place to unwind afterwards. The road to the house is a little treacherous and hard to understand. ...

We experienced some unprecedented difficulties due to a major hurricane striking the area during our stay, and both the property manager and the owner were a class act. "Perfect place for our family to relax! We fished, had a bonfire and went canoeing! There’s a few places around to eat and shop not far but they have everything to cook at the property if you wanted. There’s hiking and plenty of outdoor adventures nearby! The grill was a standard camping grill that’s by the driveway. Little small if you want to grill a lot of stuff. Property company was very quick with response to my questions! Definitely would come back to this property "

"I loved this place. I’ve stayed at a lot of cabins throughout the Appalachians. This one is very rare in actually being located deep in the woods, providing a ton of privacy and beautiful nature. The cabin itself is on a private driveway and backed up against secluded woods. It’s also decorated very well. We loved the first and second floor balconies allowing you to sit outside and read and relax, not to mention the hammock. I would give the owner feedback more than 5 stars if I could. They left...
