Situated in the community of Cleone, 2 miles north of the Fort Bragg city limits, in a country type setting, close to one of the best beaches and coastal accesses, the North Coast Retreat is the perfect get-away. The house is well appointed for families; friends and remote workers, as well as those who want to enjoy life, appreciating the beauty of nature and the coastal spirit. Just a short walk to the beach, where beautiful ocean views and sunsets are abundant. Bright skies, galaxies of stars, and the calming sound of the ocean are prevalent at this one acre property. Deer, birds and other wild life are thriving on the property for viewing enjoyment. Located close to MacKerricher State Park and the Haul Road paved trail, which provides a bike/walk path that takes you to Glass Beach, as well as the many galleries, shops, restaurants, and other attractions in the downtown area of Fort Bragg. Great home!
Very comfortable and well appointed home. Lots of room to relax and a beautiful solarium. The location is amazing just a few minutes from the beach and an amazing bike trail. We had such a fantastic time ! Will definitely rent this house again!

Great property with all amenities (well stocked kitchen, plenty of games) and walking distance to the beach. We enjoyed watching the deer from the lovely backyard. Great location, close enough to town, friendly and highly responsive owners.

Fantastic family place.

Fun in Fort Bragg
My mom and I (and our two fur babies) stayed here for a girl’s getaway weekend and had a great time! The location to the beach couldn’t be better and the house had beach chairs, bikes and tons of games! Kelly and Howard were great at responding to emails and texts and were wonderful to work with. The fenced backyard was an added bonus! We’ll be going back for sure!

Location location location!
It was so close to everything we wanted to do. The house was beautiful and had plenty for my teens to do. Plenty of towels, beds were comfy. Living room was super cozy. Was the perfect relaxing getaway. Only thing that wasn’t perfect (and out of anyone’s control) was that walls are thin and you can hear everything going on anywhere in the house. But we sent the teens to the game room or sun room and all was well noise level wise. Great experience!

We have not been to Ft. Bragg before and were really pleased with the property and its location. Owners were super responsive/helpful. A few more items in the cupboards, like olive oil and other essentials for cooking would have been great, but this didn't take away from our experience. Beach was amanzing!

Beautiful home! This has to be the cleanest beach property we’ve rented. Even for being a pet friendly property there was no indication of any pets previously. The gardens were gorgeous. The deer visited daily. Even a little frog greeted us the first night on the doorbell. The common area with the double doors on each wall were great for fresh air and ocean breeze. My daughter could not get enough of ping pong and pool. The amenities were plenty and the house very well stocked and so simple to navigate. A short 5 minute walk down to the bike trail. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a dog water and food bowl. It was an amazing time. I look forward to our next stay. Thank you!!

Everything we needed ... and the ocean!
We had a family reunion on the North Coast and it was fabulous. The home is loaded with everything we needed to cook feasts, celebrate birthdays, watch birds, talk to the ravens, see fawns nursing, walk .3 mile to watch sunsets, delight in wildflowers, hike, walk to the harbor seal rookery...and when we texted Kelly a question, she responded right away! Beds were perfect and towels were plush. Lots of blankets for the cool nights! The family was impressed!

This is a lovely place. The house is spacious and welcoming. There were 6 of us and it felt like there would be room for 10 people. It's obvious the owners put in a lot of effort to ensure guests have whatever they need. The house was fully stocked. Everything was nice and clean. We played ping pong and air hockey, barbecued, and had a camp fire. There was one gotcha, though. The posting said the house is pet friendly, but it made no mention of an additional charge for bringing a dog. I didn't find out about that charge until after we had left. Hopefully by the time you are reading this they will have updated the posting to mention the pet fee.

Wonderful home with easy walk to beach!
We were fortunate to stay at North Coast Retreat for a whole month and everything we needed was right there. The home was very clean and spacious enough for our six family members. We ate breakfast every morning in the sunroom and often saw deer grazing. We walked to the beach (less than 10 min) every evening to watch the sunset. We made fires in the fire pit to roast hot dogs and make s' mores. We slept well each night in very comfortable beds. It was indeed a retreat from the cares of the world for us all!

We took the residents of my care home on a short vaca to Ft. Bragg and stayed at this lovely home. It fit all their needs. The home is comfortable and in a great neighborhood and location, near everything. My only problem was there was an ant issue in the sunroom area which limited the use out there on the rainy day. I know this can be remedied quickly, this home is definitely a keeper to retention again in the future for us. Thank you for accommodating us.

Short walk to the beach
Had a wonderful relaxing time with our son and dog. Got up each morning and took the short 5 minute walk to the beach for a beautiful morning walk. House was clean, well stocked, and we had some pretty awesome ping pong battles. Backyard is beautiful and we ate dinner outside each night, roasted marshmallows and watched the deer at the back fence. Short drive into Fort Bragg. Overall a great stay.

Fort Bragg Gem!
What an amazing home! Not only was it absolutely spotless, but our hosts, Howard and Kelly, have thought of everything a guest might need and provided it! We cooked in the kitchen and had everything we needed. The house is bright and lovely. The backyard garden is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the deer and the sunset. The home is within easy walking distance of the beach, and and less than five minutes from downtown Fort Bragg. We will definitely be staying here again! Highly recommend!

Excellent all around
This property, just north of the center of Fort Bragg, is perfect for 4-6 people. It's nicely and comfortably furnished and supplied with several areas to enjoy. We had meals in the fenced back yard, inside the house and also in the lovely sun room. Each morning we began with the short walk to the ocean where an easy path followed the coast. You are close to Big River kayaking, tide pooling just south and plenty of opportunities for hiking among the Redwoods. Our hosts Howard and Kelly kept in touch and all went smoothly. We would certainly recommend their place for a great experience.
