Cottage in the mountains

First I would like to explain that to reach the house by car, you need experience on narrow mountain roads.
The road is paved, but it is quite narrow and has sharp curves with slopes.

To get to the house there is 3. 9 km (15 minutes) of narrow road from Biniaraix and 7km (25 minutes) from the petrol station of Soller

We say this because people are not used to this type of road and the road from Biniaraix to the house can make it difficult if you don't have some experience in driving on narrow roads.

The last two curves just before to get to the house are a bit closer and are together (These two curves are in the last two photos of the ad) and it is possible that some inexperienced drivers have to make a maneuver.

We have a Renault Kangoo and climb without any problem
To reach the house always recommend a small car or medium.

We also want to say that thanks to this narrow path, the landscape and the area has been preserved very little built, which makes it a very green place with great views, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting

The house is in a sunny place very well located for hiking.
From the house you can make excursions to the Barranc de Biniaraix, Puig de L'Ofre, Es Cormadors or Es Portell de sa Costa

We enjoyed the fantastic location in a quiet area with a beautiful view. Lovely house, good indoor and outdoor kitchen. Invigorating little pool. And nice waking up with sheep sounds. Nice and helpful owner.

Stunning location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The mountain location was so beautiful you didn’t want to leave it even to explore a nearby beach. The drive up and down is a challenging 25 mins with very steep and blind zigzags so we didn’t attempt to do it in the dark. However, we found the lovely village of Fornalutx by hiking 50mins each way which we did for eating out in the evenings. The restaurants are very good there. We stayed in 34 degrees heat in August and the evenings were difficult for sleeping with no AC but still worth it. The house is very spacious and indoor and outdoor kitchens very well equipped. Pool was also so wonderful to enjoy the view. Our kids loved hearing the sheep every day and passing by the friendly donkeys on our walks. We had a fabulous stay thank you!

We will be back
Great house, lovely host and absolute gorgeous surroundings. If you want time to yourself with nature, that is your place to go. There are 3 points you have to be aware of. First you really need a small car. We rented this time a Fiat 500 and it went great. Second point is planning your grocery trips. 30 to 40 minutes to the next supermarket in Soller. And third you need a good mosquito repellent. This house is high up on the mountain in the woods. They are everywhere. As are the sheeps who are coming each morning and evening for a friendly visit. The pool is wonderful for refreshing. We will certainly be back for our next couple vacation.

Ruhe und Erholung in einem Traumhaus mit Pool und tollem Ausblick
Wir haben 1 Woche Ende September hier in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbringen dürfen. Es ist in echt noch viel schöner und größer als auf den Fotos. Juan der Vermieter hat uns in Soller an der Tankstelle abgeholt und zum Haus eskortiert und alles erklärt. Allein hätten wir den Weg sonst nämlich nicht so leicht gefunden. Die Warnungen und Beschreibungen der Straßenverhältnisse sollten wirklich Ernst genommen werden und auch nicht unterschätzt werden. Die letzten Kurven vorm Haus sind ziemlich steil und man muss gut rangieren. Zum Glück hatten wir beim Mietwagenverleih extra nochmal erwähnt, dass wir ein kleines Auto brauchen! Den Einkauf hatten wir schon vorher gemacht und sind somit in dieser Woche nur 2 mal für Ausflüge wieder runter gefahren. Ansonsten ist alles tip top sauber und gut ausgestattet. Matrazen sind weich, die Küche ist groß und bestens ausgestattet, auch mit Gewürzen und allem Nötigen. Die Außenküche wurde erweitert um einen Holzsteinofen und großen Gasgrill, ebenso sollte die Terrasse in den nächsten Jahren ein grünes schattiges Blätterdach bilden, der Ausblick auf das umliegende Tramuntanagebirge und ins Tal auf Soller ist ein Traum, der Pool ist nicht beheizt und sehr erfrischend an heißen Sommertagen. Tipp: Gutes Moskitospray mitnehmen oder Fenster u. Türen so gut es geht geschlossen halten! Verbesserungsvorschlag: Nachttische und Nachttischlampen im oberen Schlafzimmer wären schön, (Deckenlicht zu dunkel zum Lesen) und "Kuscheldecken" fürs Sofa.

Belle maison dans la montagne avec petite piscine. Maison au calme avec cuisine extérieure sympa. Attention le chemin d'accès est très sinueux ce qui fait son charme mais prévoir une heure montée avec descente.

What a phenomenal place!
We had a wonderful stay high up in the mountains . The place is very spacious and looks even better that in the photos. It is a 30 min ride on a very narrow, curvy, steep road with the occasional vehicle coming from the other direction, not for the faint of heart. We did not leave the mountain only every other day, not only because of the drive but also because it is so peaceful and relaxing to just stay there, certainly compared to the rest of the island. Juan, the host is great, he answered all questions, quickly. One tip, use Apple Maps for the final stretch, Google maps is not accurate in the area, it has another road from the property towards the NE which does not exist.

Traumhaus hoch oben im Tramuntanagebirge
Die Warnung von Juan vor der Anfahrt zum Haus ist sehr ernst zu nehmen. Man muss sehr gut, sehr enge Serpentinen fahren können inkl. Gegenverkehr, den man vorher nicht sieht und auch als Beifahrer*in starke Nerven haben. In einer der letzten Kurven muss man rangieren, sonst kommt man nicht rum. Je kleiner das Auto umso besser. Juan hat uns abgeholt und zum Haus eskortiert, sonst hätten wir es nicht gefunden. Wir sind in der Woche nur noch einmal runter gefahren und haben Lebensmittel eingekauft. Vom Haus aus können einige Wanderungen gemacht werden, wobei im Schnitt 400 Höhenmeter zu überwinden sind. Es ist eine traumhafte Lage und Kulisse und das Haus einfach genial, wunderschön und bestens ausgestattet. Die Heizung funktioniert super, wobei wir vor allem den Kamin genutzt haben. Sowohl die Innen als auch die Außenküche lassen keine Wünsche offen. Wir waren nur zu zweit da, wobei noch ein Schlafzimmer und zwei Sofa’s für je zwei Erw. da gewesen wären. Die Fotos entsprechen exact den Tatsachen, wobei es in live noch viel schöner ist.

Dank Joan und seinem Anwesen wurde es für uns ein erholsamer Urlaub. Da Haus entspricht voll und ganz der Anzeige, ist räumlich sogar größer wie man denkt. Ein wunderschöner Ausblick und die Ruhe sind beeindruckend.

Tolles Haus in den Bergen, abseits Tourismus
Wir haben das Haus in einem sauberen Zustand angetroffen. Der Vermieter hat uns an der Tankstelle im Dorf abgeholt und ist mit uns zum Haus gefahren. Der Weg dorthin ist , wie in der Beschreibung, eng , kurvig, mit vereinzeltem Gegenverkehr. Nix für Angsthasen und grosse Autos. Unser Cupra Formentor ( Privatauto) war gerade noch passend. Im Haus hat es Bettwäsche, Fön, Handtücher, TV, Spül/ Waschmaschine, Gasherd usw. Alles wie im Inserat. Zusätzlich gab es noch viele andere Dinge von Vormietern die man gerne verwenden darf, z.B. Essig, Öl, Gewürze, Waschtabs usw. Vorbildlich. Haben wir so noch nie angetroffen. Die Lage ist abgelegen im Tramuntana , aber es hat trotzdem Nachbarn in der Umgebung. Wir waren überwältigt von der Lage. Freilaufende Schafe und Ziegen jeden Tag. Die Aussenküche ist ein Traum, wir haben Sie täglich genutzt. Der Pool ist klein, aber liebevoll gemacht, wie das gesamte Haus. Es war traumhaft Abends auf der Terrasse, die einen kleinen Sonnenschutz hat, zu sitzen und auf Soller zu schauen. Mir persönlich fehlte ein mobiler Sonnenschirm und die Sitzkissen , für draussen waren etwas dünn. Es ist angebracht seine Einkäufe gut zu planen da der Weg wirklich sehr speziell ist und man für die 3 km ins Tal jedesmal 30-40 min brauchte. Deshalb für die Lage nur 4 Punkte. Wir sind nur alle 2 Tage runter gefahren und jedesmal empfand ich es als Abenteuer !! Wir hatten eine geniale Zeit dort oben in diesem sehr speziellen Haus, werden bei Verfügbarkeit wieder buchen.

Ein wirklich besonderer Ort
Das Haus kann man nicht wirklich beschreiben. Die Lage ist einzigartig (wenn man es einmal bis dort geschafft hat). Dort oben am Berg fühlt man sich wie in einer anderen Welt. Es mangelt wirklich an nichts. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail und großem handwerklichem Geschick gebaut und in einem absolut einwandfreien Zustand. Der Vermieter ist außerordentlich hilfsbereit und eventuelle Fragen werden umgehend beantwortet. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Über die Straße wurde bereits alles gesagt - zu erwähnen hier vielleicht : die komplette Anfahrt vom Dorf bis zum wunderschönen Ferienhaus ist super kurvig und eng - mehr als einmal mussten wir erleben, wie andere Touristen Probleme hatten. Mit unserem Fiat Panda gab es keine Probleme. Das Haus belohnt dann allerdings für all die Mühen ! Super Blick, tolles Haus, alles da, was man so braucht ( Gewürze, Pfeffer, Salz, Kaffee, Wasser, Cola, Bier, Wein ...). Joan ist ein super netter Kerl, sehr bemüht und versucht alles, was in seiner Macht steht, damit der Gast sich wohlfühlt - vielen Dank dafür, Joan ! Ach ja : Autan nicht vergessen !!!!!

Bezaubernd, wundervoll, einfach perfekt
Eine entzückende Finca inmitten des Gebirges. Uns fehlte es einfach an nichts. Joan, der Vermieter, ist einfach toll. Alles ist mit so viel mediterraner Liebe bis ins kleinste Detail eingerichtet. Die Finca ist sehr geräumig und ist viel größer als sie im Angebot wirkt. Der gigantische Ausblick durch das Gebirge bis hin zum Meer ist einfach traumhaft und sensationell. Da oben einsam und völlig ruhig liegt einem Sóller unten im Tal zu Füßen. Die beste und besonderste Finca ever. Einfach mal was anderes, als die typischen Fincas. So einsam, dass man nicht nur Sternschnuppen, sondern auch Batman‘s beobachten kann. Nur wenig Moskitos. Die Auffahrt zur Finca ist, wie schon in den anderen Bewertungen beschrieben, wirklich sehr sehr abenteuerlich und sollte nicht unterschätzt werden. Nur ein erfahrener Fahrer mit guter Fahrpraxis sollte diesen Anfahrtsweg wagen (Straße ist nur so breit wie ein Auto, ca. 40 Kurven eng und steil) und im Dunkeln lieber ganz meiden. Mal eben fehlende Dinge besorgen ist mehr als ungünstig :-), aber der Weg hoch lohnt sich wirklich. Wir kommen gerne/bestimmt wieder. Vielen lieben Dank

Ein Traum
Die Finca ist wunderschön. Sie liegt mitten in den Bergen mit abenteuerlicher Zufahrt. Ein Salzwasser Pool, schattenspendende Olivenbäume und ein Zitronenbaum in voller Blüte runden den Wohlfühleffekt ab. Darüber hinaus gibt es eine perfekt eingerichtete Außenküche. Der Vermieter ist ein unglaublich netter Mann, der über eine ausgesprochene Gastfreundschaft verfügt. Daher: 5 Sterne für Joan! Insgesamt eine aussergewöhnlich schöne Finca.

Entspannung pur mitten in der Natur
Schon der Empfang von Joan war einmalig, wir haben uns vor einem Supermarkt getroffen und Joan hat uns zum Haus geleitet. Es ist unbedingt notwendig ein relativ kleines Auto zu mieten um die teilweise engen und steilen Kurven zum Mietobjekt zu meistern-wir hatten einen Peugeot 208 mit dem die Anfahrt unproblematisch war. Die wegen der Strecke hochkonzentrierte An- und Abfahrt ist es wirklich wert. Die Objektbeschreibung trifft zu 100 Prozent zu. Die einsame Lage am Berg die nur vom Gebimmel der Ziegen und dem Summen der Grillen unterbrochen wird hat uns zu einer rundum gelungenen Erholung inmitten des Olivenhains verholfen.Durch die Abgeschiedenheit des Hauses steht einem textilfreien Bad in der Sonne oder im Pool nichts entgegen. Da auch eine Waschmaschine vorhanden ist reicht kleines Gepäck völlig aus. In der Küche sind viele verschiedene Gewürze sowie Olivenöl und Essig vorhanden, Salz in Dekogläsern im Überfluss. Für einen frisch gepressten Orangensaft steht eine Saftpresse zur Verfügung. Für einen Großeinkauf an Lebensmitteln stehen neben vielen Einkaufstaschen ein übergroßer Kühlschrank mit mehreren Gefrierschubladen zur Verfügung. Da wir im Juni da waren haben wir uns über das Moskitonetz im oberen Schlafzimmer gefreut, für den Aufenthalt ab Sonnenuntergang im Freien würde ich Autan oder Ähnliches empfehlen. Abschließend nochmals ein Dankeschön an Joan- du hast uns zu einem wunderbar erholsamen Aufenthalt verholfen, vielen Dank!

Ein Traum in Ruhe und Natur
Es bleibt nicht viel zu sagen, als dass einfach alles perfekt ist. Das Haus ist ein Traum. Man wird morgens von tausenden Vögeln geweckt, frühstückt auf der schattigen, großen Terrasse, liegt tagsüber unter dem Olivenbaum am Pool und genießt abends ein leckeres Barbeque und läuscht den Klängen des benachbarten Pfaus und beobachtet die Fledermäuse bei ihren Flugmanövern. In dem Haus fehlt es an nichts. Joan hat und gut hingeführt und in Empfang genommen. Die Lage ist einfach perfekt. Man thront über Sóller und schaut auf das Meer und kann dabei in absoluter Stille die Seele baumeln lassen oder Nachts die unzähligen Sterne beobachten. Die Straße zum Haus verlangt in der Tat einiges an Fahrerfahrung, insbesondere wenn Gegenverkehr vorhanden ist. Und in völliger Dunkelheit wird der Schwierigkeitsgrad noch einmal erhöht. Wir hatten einen kleinen Kia, und größer sollte das Auto wirklich nicht sein, sonst könnte es durchaus Krater geben. Nach zwei Wochen fährt man die Straße jedoch stetig souveräner hinauf- bse herunter. Wir kommen wieder! Joan, lass Bitte alles genau so, wie es ist. What an amazing property on the Tramontana mountains. Joan has rebuilt an old stone cottage and converted it into an incredible restful retreat. Fantastic view to wake up to surrounded by nature, grazing sheep and millennial olive trees. Watch the setting sun over Soller and take a dip in the pool to cool down after a hike,. het was een heel fijn verblijf in een mooi, schoon huis met geweldige faciliteiten
geweldig en goed en vriendelijk contact met Joan Vidal. Prachtige omgeving en te gekke accommodatie. We gaan zeker nog een keer terug.

Alles Wesentliche wurde in den bisherigen Bewertungen absolut zutreffend beschrieben! Die Zufahrt ist nicht ohne! Das Haus ist einfach nur schön und sehr überdurchschnittlich ausgestattet. Joan ist ein ganz feiner Kerl, der alles wunderbar gemanaged hat, auch wenn es kleinere techn. Problemchen gab! Gerade dann zeigt sich, wie engagiert ein Vermieter ist...Joan ist es!! Dieser Ort war für uns persönlich und unseren Kurztrip Anfang Dezember die perfekte Wahl. Danke Joan und alles Gute! Markus & Team
