The food cooked for us was always in abundance and delicious. They, Elena and Claudia, looked after our needs (dining, drinks, laundry, etc) very well and kindly. Pedro as our concierge was incredibly valuable. He helped us with every aspect of our stay - securing boat moorings, confirming reservations, acting as a translator, helping above and...

"The accommodation was in a beautiful tranquil setting. We really felt that we had a relaxing break in Celerico de Basto. Lovely pool and even a little lake to row a boat on much to the delight of the children. The kitchen was a slightly strange set up but we soon got used to cooking on the BBQ . Only down side was the kitchen sink. No hot water and sink was very small in the kitchen area. We had to boil water on hob for washing up. To be honest we got used to it and we managed fine . "This is a great place to stay. Close enough to Lamego for quick visits and far enough away to relax and enjoy the area, view and sound of the river outside your window. Henrique and Francesca were great hosts, living just above us. Their brand new baby boy is a wonderful blessing for them. Unit is close to grocery shopping and all the area in the Northern part of Portugal. Enjoyed very much. "

"We stayed with two couples for 14 days at this lovely house. Olga and Paulo were fabulous hosts and gave us countless of wonderful tips on what to do and where to eat. Communication was flawless. Check in was easy and Paulo greeted us with a bottle of wine and fresh pastry specific to the region. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. AC in the two master bedrooms, the LR, and the DR was appreciated. As a pleasant surprise we had a house cleaning and fresh bed sheets...
