"Grand Hotel Excelsior is beautiful, elegant hotel not far (5 min walk) from Valletta's City Gate entrance by the Triton Fountain. The location by the water of the bay offers amazing views by day or night. The extra attention by all of the staff was very appreciated as it wasn't overpowering but discreet and gracious. Breakfast is just perfect. Everything is there but I would recommend trying some of the island specialities like Pastizzi and their typical cheese. All in all we had a very...

"Visited at New Year, was busier than usual outside the hotel due to the Christmas market and fair, but inside was still lovely and peaceful. Staff were efficient and friendly, the facilities were excellent and the food was fantastic. This was our second visit and we will go again. "

"A lovely house that has been sympathetically refurbished to give a well-appointed home, with lots of lovely touches, like the availability of beach towels and a beach parasol . Floriana is very close to Valletta, but a little quieter and in a very friendly neighbourhood. Ilona is an excellent host and we would certainly book the property again."
