Wonderful city apartment with breath taking views over Florence.

The apartment, (70 square meter) is situated in the historical centre of Florence directly at the 'Piazza San Marco', one of the most beautiful historical public squares of the city. It is located at the 5th floor (without elevator) of an historical palace (XVIII century). The apartment, which has air condition is totally silent, from the balcony as well as from all windows you will enjoy a wonderful view over Florence and its monuments. From the kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven and gas-cooker) you step on a nice roomy balcony where you can take breakfast while enjoying the wonderful view over San Marco Cathedral and the hills of Fiesole. The apartment has furthermore a large living/dining room with TV, two separate bedrooms (one with a comfortable double bed and a special view on the Dome of Florence) and a modern bathroom with shower. All main museums and monuments of Florence can be visited within walking distance.


How to reach us: By car: Highway 1 Bologna - Firenze, Exit Firenze Nord, direction 'centro', direction 'Piazza San Marco'. Parking 'Parterre' nearby at Piazza della Libertà.

By train: Florence main station (Santa Maria Novella) - 2 min with taxi or all buses with direction 'San Marco'.

By airplane: Take a taxi (15 -20 min) or take a bus (Narvetta, the tickets you get on the bus) until Florence main station (Santa Maria Novella), than take a bus with direction 'San Marco'.

Information to the surroundings: The apartment in Florence is located in one of the central squares of the city (Piazza San Marco) in the historic center of town.

This district Cosimo il Vecchio has left its mark. Within the walls of this area once the menagerie of the Medici family was staying. Today it is the student quarter, and during the semester, the Piazza San Marco is always populated by young people who are waiting for the start of their lectures and art classes. The Accademia di Belli Arti founded in 1563 is the oldest art academy in the world, dating back to Michelangelo.

Nice apartment in the middle of Florence
Overall, the apartment was very nice and well suited for our stay. The climb up the stairs is a bit vigorous, but a reasonable tradeoff for the location.

Luxury apartment by the Duomo
We stayed two nights in this beautifully appointed apartment. This spot had luxurious linens, a great kitchen and living room. Very comfy bedroom with a drop dead gorgeous view of the Duomo. The host was accommodating and allowed us to drop off our luggage early. One caveat, there are roughly 200 steps from the street level to the front door. The view was well worth it. Very close to markets and good restaurants. Would like to go back someday.

Amazing stay
Couldn’t have asked for a better area to stay or a nicer view! The location is so central and walkable, but not overwhelmingly busy. We felt so lucky to have a place to stay with such amazing views of the city and mountains. Communication was great as well with our hosts.

My husband & I had a very nice stay here. Apartment has lots of windows, high elevation so you get lots of fresh air which we loved. Great views from many of the windows, and a great host. I highly recommend staying here.

My family and I had a delightful stay and would gladly return to this flat for our next visit. Comfortable, clean, quiet, and most importantly about 15 minutes from every site we wanted to see. I highly recommend this rental!

Breathtaking view!
Really great apartment, excellent location, 2 small supermarkets within 2 mins (recommend Conad over Carrefore for price and variety) also really good takeaway food in the square, arrancini etc. Florence so small everything is easily walkable and of course David is literally your neighbour! Recommend San Marco museum over the road. Apartment is spacious, view breathtaking, air con kept us cool in 37 deg. Beds comfy and apartment is well equipped and we enjoyed the balcony for our morning cup.of tea. Would recommend!

Central Florence stay
We loved the location of this apartment and the views were amazing. We had a few issues with cleanliness when we arrived however these were immediately addressed by Tiberio and his wife. Do however be aware of the 6 flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but the views were worthwhile. It should also be noted that the AC was not available at all times. Despite minor issues I would recommend staying here,

Wonderful apartment to explore a beautiful city!
My husband, grown son & I stayed at Tiberio's apartment for two nights while we explored the beauty of Florence. Everything was as described & fit our needs perfectly. We loved enjoying morning coffee on the terrace & the view of the duomo from the master bedroom is incredible. Grazie mille! As the listing mentions, this apartment is up many flights of stairs. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with mobility concerns but it was great for us. (I earned my gelato by climbing them!)

Nice, comfortable and hassle free rental.
We are very grateful we could have access to this property. It is well located, quiet and has more amenities than we needed. The check-in and check-out processes were simple and friendly. The host answered quickly and their support (including the resourceful binder inside the apartment) were really helpful. We will definitely be renting this property again should we visit Florence in a near future. Traveling often comes with a certain level of stress and hope that thing will go as expected. This rental was for our family comfortable, stress-free and it really allowed us to enjoy our stay and what the city had to offer. Thank you!

Great stay in Florence Apartment
We had a great stay in Tiberio's apartment. As others have indicated, it has a great view of the Duomo as well as the rooftops of Florence. It was adequately stocked and perfect for four people. Great value for the money. One warning - the stairs are not for the feint of heart; recommend for visitors that appreciate the value of working off the great Italian food.

Perfect location!
My family of 4 stayed here in July. The location was absolutely amazing! The rental was awesome, everything worked and was clean. The view off the balcony was great overlooking the square. Many eateries around this location so we never ate using the kitchen but it looked sufficiently stocked. Tiberio couldn't have been more gracious. Thank you again!!!

Amazing Views
We stayed for a week in Oct 23. We found the location perfect for food, attractions, and transportation. We especially enjoyed the view of the Doumo from the bedroom and the view of San Marco Square from the balcony. We had wine on it every night. The stairs are real but not an issue for us (we are early 61 & 57). Tiberio was excellent through the entire process.

Wonderful 5 night stay
We had a fantastic stay at Tiberio’s apartment. He was so kind to allow us to drop off our baggage prior to check in and gave us a full walk through of the place. He was warm, kind, and very friendly. The view of the Duomo was a perk as well as a small terrace to look over the piazza. There are many restaurants nearby as well as a grocery store. It was a huge surprise that the museum with Michelangelo’s David was right around the corner! I would recommend Tiberio’s place without hesitation.

A wonderful retreat right on top of central Florence
Tiberio’s apartment offers a spacious retreat with amazing views of the Duomo and the mountains surrounding Florence—all a stone’s throw from the Duomo and in walking distance to all of the city’s offerings. The kitchen is well-appointed and includes all the basics and some extras necessary to cook (salt, pepper, sugar, flour, oil, vinegar, etc). Tiberio is a kind host, attentive to providing you an enjoyable stay. And the stairs, while certainly not suitable for someone with mobility issues, will make you feel less guilty for all the gelato you’ll consume! The view is most worthwhile. I hope to return again soon.

Amazing Apartment in a Beautiful City
First off Tiberio was an excellent host and very easy to work with prior to our arrival as well as when we were there. The apartment is in a great location and close to everything in Florence. It is a quick 10 minute walk to the Duomo and The David is right next door. This place was perfect for a family of four and was our central base while we did day trips to Pisa, Luca, Sienna and Cinque Terre. Tiberio also recommended we visit Fiesole which is a great hilltop town that is a quick 25 minute bus ride from the apartment. The five stories of stairs is not an issue and we felt very safe staying here. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay and would stay here again if we get the chance to come back to Florence. Thank you again Tiberio for your hospitality during our stay.

Fabulous Firenze steps away from David!
Our stay in Florence was much too short which means we will just have to go back! Tiberio and his daughter Letizia greeted us warmly and showed us around their spectacular apartment. The view from the patio is incredible and you can even see the Duomo from the bedroom window which was gorgeous at sunset and during the night. Accademia which houses Michaelangelo's David is literally around the corner and all the main attractions of Firenze are within walking distance. Many delicious food options of course nearby. The only warning would be for people with mobility issues. It is 5 floors to the top with no lift/elevator but that is the norm in Europe and we were young/capable enough it didn't affect us. Tiberio is an excellent host and kept in close contact with us to make sure everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend his place to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Florence.

Now I finalt have time to write a few words about our stay in your apartment. It was Reals Nice to meget you to check-out the day before we went hole. It is a lovely apartment, with a wonderful adress in Piazza San Marco, wonderful near every thing in the City, and wonderful quiet on 5th floor. 11 nice days with sun and some rain. The apartment have a priceles terrasse for breakfast and a glass of Wine before dinner. Mrs. Teresa kindly met us when we arrived. And thanks for Your kind mails and help when payment via Homeaway was out of order. I hope we will meet you again in Firenze or in Denmark. We had 11 wonderful days. Clean and well-furnished apartment in great location
A very well-kept and clean apartment with a great view of the Duomo and San Marco square. Our host welcomed us on the first day and met with us once more before we left, such hospitality and professionalism! The location is a very convenient base to explore Florence; the apartment is just a step away from the Accademia and many sights were within walking distance, this made our day given the heatwave that befell the birthplace of the Renaissance. We walked to the Duomo, Uffizi gallery, Medici Chapel and central market. We especially enjoyed the near by Chinese restaurant and 1950s all-American themed restaurant. If exhausted, there are also eateries just below the apartment as is the bus station. A Carrefour supermarket is also just around the corner. The evenings were quiet and after a day packed with appreciating paintings, sculptures, Florentine ingenuity and creativity, my hubby enjoyed sitting at the patio watching the San Marco Museum and piazza bask in an ochre hue. Thank you Firenze and Tiberio for a memorable family vacation! The M family.

Wonderful Location and Beautiful Views
We stayed for 5 weeks in this apartment and it was so comfortable and the kitchen worked well for cooking. Great balcony overlooking the piazza with hillside views. Views of the Duomo from the primary bedroom. The host, Tiberio, was wonderful with suggestions and helping us secure soccer tickets for a Florentina game. Would definitely stay there again.

Quaint spacious apartment in the heart of Florence
We had a great stay at Florence and glad we had this Vrbo close to many sites. We did know we had 5 floors of stairs to get to our room but wished the AC actually worked better in common living area. Worked great in bedroom. Wasnt too much of an issue since we were out most of day. Tiberio was kind, organized, and informative. We did have trouble with the wifi being spotty but we did okay. Overall, good spot to be near San Marco neighborhood, walking distance to dumo! We enjoyed our stay.

Underbar vecka i Florence :)
Vi hade en fantastisk vecka i Tiberos och Gabriellas lägenhet! Nära till allt och en underbar utsikt över staden. Vi spenderade några kvällar på terrassen till stadens ljud och sov gott då det är tyst och lugnt trots ett centralt läge. Vi fick ett fint mottagande när vi kom till Firenze av Tiberos fru Gabriella och dotter, samt att vi snabbt fick hjälp att förboka en taxi tillbaka till flygplatsen. Lägenheten är välutrustad och det fanns både hårtork och plattång mm mm. Gott om utrymmen att förvara kläder mm och mycket fräscht och välstädat. Vi fick på köpet bra motion efter de 100 trappstegen upp till lägenheten :) Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

San Marco
Perfecte ligging om Firenze te verkennen. Parkeren kan niet bij het appartement maar er zijn genoeg parkings in de omgeving die je op voorhand kan boeken. De trappen naar de 5e verdieping moet je erbij nemen. Stromend water is niet evident in dit hoog gelegen appartement: de waterdruk is wisselvallig. De winkel is om de hoek en je hebt een bakker en restaurant op het San Marco plein. De communicatie met de eigenaar was zeer goed. Tiberio, de eigenaar, beantwoordt steeds al je vragen. Er is WiFi en dit werkt ook op het terras met zicht op het klooster van San Marco. Indien we Firenze opnieuw bezoeken, dan verblijf ik er opnieuw. Dank aan Tiberio!
