"I have to admit this was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. It was tastefully decorated, staff were friendly but not in your face and the feel was quiet luxury. The room was lovely too."

"Myself and my Husband stayed at the Hampton Piccadilly, which is very close to Clifford Tower and the Castle Museum, from Monday to Thursday 10th to the 13th March. We were there to meet up with good friends from Warrington for a sightseeing weekend. We had a lovely stay, nice, cosy, comfy and spacious room, tea and coffee facilities, please be aware there are no teaspoons, only wooden sticks which are no good when trying to fish a teabag out of a mug! "Great hotel. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Impressive period building with new additions. Our room looked out onto the road but never noticed any noise at night. We did a one day course in the cookery school which was excellent, would highly recommend. Great location for exploring York. Parking at the station long stay car park is a much cheaper option than the nearer NCP (only £15 for a long weekend). Nice spa and pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Really good breakfast."

"We had a lovely stay at the Elmbank, the rooms are modern and stylish and the rest of the hotel is nice. The hotel did feel short of staff at times with the bar man having to run the bar and prepare food. We ordered food one evening and it was pretty basic for the price. I did notice that some of the communal areas could have been cleaner, the floors were dusty in areas. The breakfast was good, but being a smaller hotel, I have had better at bigger places. "Nice quiet hotel within easy walking distance of the centre of York. Lots of bars and restaurants around the hotel. Hotel parking and a public car park are a short walk away. Very friendly helpful reception staff, we arrived early, they held our luggage and transferred it to our room when it became available."

"Nice staff and the stay in general was fine. Only let down by the badly stained carpet in the room. We did report this and were told the room is getting a new carpet soon. A robust clean of the current carpet would suffice. "

"The room was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was diverse with hot and cold options and we were served promptly. The hotel was walking distance from the shops and attractions. We slept very comfortably and conveniently parked at the hotel. I was really impressed with the hotel and would stay again when I stay in York for a visit."

Amazing Hotel at Amazing price. Why stay elsewhere

"I have been staying at Lazaat Hotel for business for 10 years when i am in the hull area. It is spotless in every way, the rooms are fantastic (i have stayed in most off them) spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I am a light sleeper but always have a good nighrs sleep when i stay. The staff are all helpful, friendly and nothing is a problem for them. All this for amazing price as-well, worth more than they charge."

"I travelled from Newcastle and stayed here for my birthday - we had only heard of the hotel on the YWP website when booking an experience. The hotel was really nice, really clean and the layout was really nice (like little pods before entering the hotel with little shops, bistros, restaurants etc made it feel like a holiday resort.) The reception was another pod, the staff were really lovely and they had a little essentials shop too which was a really nice touch for toothbrushes and other things you may have forgotten. The floor our room was on also had an ice dispensing room, where there was also a vending machine for snacks. Our room was simple but really nice, and at a good price. The only thing was the safe didn’t work, they said they couldn’t fix it within the day but did still offer to lock our belongings in their safe behind reception. We had tea in the bistro the food was really nice, breakfast was in the same place and again, it was really nice and worth the money. I will definitely visit here again and can’t recommend enough. "
