"My best friend and I were planning a girls weekend for Faith Fest and rather than stay in a stuffy hotel room, we opted to find something better. We found the greatest little place. Full of charm and so much more. Thank you Edward,for allowing us the wonderful opportunity to enjoy Millers Creek. It was truly amazing."

"This was our second year staying at the Old Farmhouse. It was just as wonderful as last year! Property is well maintained, clean, and has everything that you need. Our family of six enjoyed helping with the farm chores, talking with Farmer Walton (such an interesting and kind man), roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, petting sweet Piper and Penelope, and generally just relaxing and being together. "Such a wonderful respite from our busy lives. Perfect setting , great home, so much fun tubing in the New River which is close by and enjoying the fire out and outdoor space and porches. Plenty of towels and supplies. Home is very clean and well kept."

"I specialize in the identification and removal of mold and other hazardous materials in hospitals and sensitive areas. There was visible mold, active leaks, and the smell of mildew throughout. The pictures were very misleading. The real problem here is we were visiting the area for an industry event (healthcare construction) and I brought a representative from a local healthcare facility who just so happened to be immunocompromised and battling cancer. Thats not a good look. I won't stay here...

"This is a great place tucked into rural NC. We stayed on a clear, pleasant night in September and the stars were amazing! The host made arrangements for an odd the check in time for out party. We really enjoyed the fact that it was built in the 1890s and but had been updated for some modern conveniences. "

"We loved being here and hope to return one day. It was a perfect getaway in a perfect location at the beginning of the Virginia Creeper Trail.The farmhouse was great with nice hot showers, outside fire pit and grill, plenty of games, TV, towels , relaxing porches, night time stars, and room to relax. "Check-in was seamless, house was clean, all appliances worked well....would recommend. This house is located off the beaten path and has amazing views. My son and I were riding the Blue Ridge Parkway on our motorcycles and chose this as a stopping point. We bought a few groceries at a nearby Food Lion and cooked burgers on the grill while enjoying a crazy cool sunset. The views from the deck of this house are simply stunning. "My dad and I stayed here for a couple of nights and had a great time. The cabin is unique and rustic (how I think a mountain cabin should be), but also clean and well-stocked and well-maintained. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. It’s so quiet and we especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch. Easy drive into Boone and close to plenty of hiking trails. I’d recommend trying to arrive before the sun sets on your first night. "
