"Beautiful stone cottage - loved the ladders and wood stove - the kids loved loft bedroom. Was great to walk into such a beautiful little village - was the perfect stay in regional France !"

"I stayed one night with 2 friends in a triple room - but we were told at the time of booking that we could be provided with 3 single beds. Turned out not to be the case as our room had a double and a single bed and it was not possible to get 3 single beds. We survived that for one night - but cannot accept to share a bed with a double duvet - so asked reception for an extra duvet. The receptionist tried her best but was only able to provide an extra blanket and a sheet - so not ideal. The highlight for us was no doubt the restaurant. They had a very interesting menu and with some delicious food. The salmon starter I had is one of the best starters I have ever tasted in my life - so a big compliment to the chef. The place also had a nice swimming pool but unfortunately we were there on a rainy day - so didn't get to use it. "

"Your booking reference never got to the hotel, nada , nothing, none........so l had to book another room with them, which means you owe me a full refund, understand that!!!!"

"It was VERY basic and like a motel from a bad film. I didn’t want to walk on the brown carpet in bare feet just in case. "

"We wanted for nothing in this property, everything was provided. It was in a huge, secluded garden, but the property was separate, and a long way from the main house, so we didn't feel enclosed in any way. We sat/ate outside a lot of the time, and felt that we were a long way from the main house. Samur-en-Auxois was everything we thought it was, and François Meunieur was extremely helpful. 10/10!"
