Parking is located offsite and a shuttle provides transportation from the parking lot to the property. In order to reach the offsite parking lot please follow the below instructions. Take the Trans Canada Highway heading west towards Field and Golden, BC. The turnoff to Emerald Lake Lodge is located 1 kilometer west of Field, BC. Follow the road for 8 kilometers until a sign that says 'Overnight Guest Parking.' Turn left into the parking lot. In the parking lot is a cabin. Use the telephone in the cabin to call the front desk. A shuttle will be sent to pick up guests.

Stayed at Emerald Lake Lodge for Christmas holiday hoping to experience a magical, snowy holidays and this place did not disappoint. It is a beautiful property and staff are very hard working making sure the areas are safe to walk on. Our room was cozy and comfy with a fireplace. They provided the firewood and starters too. The restaurant serves very good food, service was exceptional but reservation is highly recommended. Our family had so much fun staying at this place. The guest parking is far from the resort but the waiting room is warm and the shuttles are quick. Overall, we had a magical stay at Emerald Lake Lodge.

While the property itself especially this January 2025 was a winter wonderland and beautiful thanks to so much fresh snow……. We found the staff to be a little difficult/insincere …. Would offer help…. But, no follow through. The shuttle service and woman driving was absolutely great. The view from our room was stunning….. but, the neighbours were extremely loud to the point that we got maybe 2 hours of sleep and we were trying to catch up on quality rest in the mountains and celebrate our anniversary and a birthday. Disappointing and I’m sure has the potential to be better under different circumstances.

We arrive later in the evening. Amazing to wake up and walk outside to the snow covered trees and mountains here. We had a later breakfast and hot tub time than expected because of their start/opening times but that ended up helping us have a nice slow morning here. We did take a little hike to Hamilton Falls as well, which had a lovely frozen design.

We really enjoyed our stay at Emerald Lake Lodge, The staff was beyond friendly, The lodge was beautiful and was like a Winter Wonderland. The only downfall was all the kids. We tried to enjoy nice evening suppers but there were kids screaming running around all 3 nights we ate there. Then we wanted to have a nice romantic evening in the hot tub but there were again a few kids. They were making small snowman and bringing them in the hot tub to melt. This beautiful spot should be adults only or maybe older teenagers would be fine as well. One more thing, Hats off to the chef. I had Alberta Premium steak n the sauce on the side was to die for. My husband had the duck and again he said it was delicious. Looking forward to our return this summer.

Emerald Lake Lodge is a wonderful spot for a cozy getaway. The main lodge is beautiful and offered a great place to get a drink, play a board game, or sit and relax. The rooms are dated, but the wood burning fire place makes them so cozy! The scenery at Emerald Lake truly cannot be beat!

Everything was great considering how old this property is but limited dinning and snacks was a bit dissatisfying. Knowing limited dinning and food options I even called three times before my stay there to ensure they would be ok with Vegan food and options and I was ensured they will have plenty of options but upon arrival there was one single dish available. Pretty disappointing knowing how much is the cost of everything that a chef if he can call himself or herself that couldn’t event make a garden salad or simple dish like maybe some rice and potatoes at least. Overall I would recommend the place but limited cuisine and for that reason I would say bring your own food and drinks.
