Best location on the hill! True ski-in/ski-out Thunder Ridge Condos

Located on the Powder Highway! This luxury condo is truly SKI IN/SKI OUT five star accommodations. The condo is located on Holo Hike ski run at Fernie Alpine Resort. You can ski to the Elk Chair from the condo and ski to the back door for lunch! Fernie is known for its amazing powder averaging 29 feet of snowfall per year. In 2007, Ski Canada Magazine recognized Fernie as winner of Best Powder, Best Bar and Best Apres Ski Party in Canada.

Ski out your door to the Elk Chair Lift, and after a full day of skiing, relax on the deck in your private hot tub or curl up by the cozy river rock fireplace. There are three luxurious bedrooms on the upper level. The master suite has a queen size handmade log bed, T.V., and private ensuite. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a TV. The third bedroom is great for one family or the kids. It has a double over double handmade log bed and TV. There is also another full bathroom on the upper level. The main floor has a comfortable queen size pull out couch. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing are right outside your door. All the luxuries of home plus fabulous mountain views and some of the best skiing in North America.

The town of Fernie is located 5 minutes away and offers shopping, restaurants and more. Fernie is a 3 hour drive from Calgary International Airport and a 1.5 hour drive from Cranbrook International Airport.

For some reason VRBO's map has this place located in the town of Fernie. It is on the mountain, perfect ski in/out. Clip in and go. A few meters from the Elk Chair. Hot tub was great, kitchen well equipped, and newly renovated bathrooms. I wish I could stay for a month.

Loved Our Stay
Just a quick note to say that we just loved our stay here over Christmas, 2016. It was a magical experience and everything was just as we expected. Laura, the owner even had a Christmas tree all set up and decorated to great us on our arrival as well as a special treat for us on the kitchen island ! The condo was immaculate and very well equipped. Laura was very helpful and we would certainly love to return again some day. The Fergusons

First time skiing for my grandchildren, visiting from Asia. The condo was very convenient for all of us to cohabit, to go back and forth from the hill p, and to host our family Easter dinner. Additionally, it felt like a home away from home - the youngest was calling it "my house" by the end of our stay. We just needed to stay longer!

Fully Stocked - Excellent Location - So Much Room
Plenty of room for 8 (2 families of 4). Large bunks, comfortable beds and bedding. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need, including quality appliances. Lots of room for everyone - kids sprawling and playing electronics, big kitchen table for meals and family game nights, large bedrooms, closets and dressers. Hot tub was wonderful after a day on the slopes, with a view of the mountains from the tub. True ski-in/ski-out - literally kick the skis off and climb the stairs to the back door. In the morning, ski down to Elk / Moose Platter and start your day. Safe ski / board storage on main level. Wonderful place - wonderful location - Highly Recommended. We would love to return for a future trip.

A great condo! Very clean, well stocked and comfortable!! Lots of space for a family with kids - room to spread out after a day on the hill. Conveniently located close to the Elk Chair and the Mighty Moose. Kids and adults loved the hot tub! Can't say enough good things about this condo! We loved it!! We plan to come back….

We absolutely loved this Condo! Location was perfect, the condo itself, was in absolutely wonderful condition!!! It was very clean, everything worked and in perfect condition at that and the hot tub was in great condition!! We really have never experienced more of a comfortable stay in Fernie (and we've been going for years). The place was cozy and made us feel like we were at home! Being the cook in the group, I loved that there were ample supplies of dishes and cutlery and it made preparing my meals easy as there was everything there that I would have at home! The bottle of wine that was left for us to indulge in upon our arrival was a really sweet touch as well :) The owners answered any questions I had and were very thorough with their check in-check out instructions. They were 100% pleasant and sweet to deal with at all times and we've never had such good people to deal with at a vacation home. We appreciate very much you sharing your place with us for our family ski trip, you and your beautiful condo made it that much more of a fun memorable experience! I absolutely would stay here again and would recommend others to as well :)

Ski-in/Ski-Out Thunder Ridge Condo Review
The accomodations were wonderful. Very comfortable, spacious, practical and even the convenience of having t.v.'s in bedrooms a big plus; especially when there were a table full of people playing table games in kitchen area - my husband could go upstairs to our B.R. and watch Olympics. The access to laundry, bar-b-q, hot-tub was also all very handy and made the holiday better.

Perfect weekend getaway
A group of 10 of us stayed at this property for 3 nights in January, and even with a baby there was more than enough room for all of us an our gear. The place was easy to find as good directions were provided. The place was warm and clean on our arrival, and the pictures are exactly what you see when you get there. The location on the hill was fantastic! We were all impressed with being just a short drop to the elk chair. The hot tub was a welcome treat when getting back from a day of skiing, and with free wifi and tv package we were able to keep on top of all the sports games. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great ski in/ski out place in Fernie. Laura, the owner, was great to deal with. Answered all my questions even before I rented the place and was quick to reply to anything after. The group of us are already thinking about next years trip and are hoping that we can get this place again.
