"Hotel do Canal is our favorite hotel in Faial. The staff are warm and friendly. The accommodations are nice and spacious. It is pretty handicap accessible and offers onsite gym, tours, multi-lingual staff, and delightful restaurant! We had dinner to which no detail had been overlooked and a great wine list was available. We also always enjoy a delightful breakfast with local offerings and general European cuisine. We already look forward to our return!"

"Die Zimmer sind chic, geräumig und in einem erstklassigen Zustand. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption und vom Housekeeping sind immer hilfsbereit und immer sehr freundlich. Zuverlässiges und schnelles WLAN. Einziger Minuspunkt ist wirklich das Frühstück- es wird bereits um kurz nach 8h nichts mehr nachgefüllt. Man muss jedes Mal um die notwenigsten Sachen bitten. Stattdessen sitzt der Mitarbeiter dort nur an seinem Handy...Sehr sehr schade! Vielleicht anstatt dessen Frühstücksgutscheine für das...

"This is a wonderful property that would be a great stay for anyone. Our room was spacious, clean, and designed and decorated with flair. The grounds are extensive and outstandingly landscaped. Francisco, the owner, is justly proud of his creation, and is very hospitable and dedicated to making your stay memorable. The breakfast spread is very generous. Very good value for the money. The main reason we picked them was their involvement in science and research, and a tour we received was beyond our expectations. It was arranged on last minute request and made our brief stay the highlight of our 18 days in the islands."

"House is in quiet place, full of nature. I received a really big house, fine in the appearance, very clean and completely fournished. Comfort was at top and all was working perfectly. Also garden an swimming pool were very good. Host was really polite and full of attention, providing an appetizing breakfast. If obly also some vegetables had been added, no possibility of improvement woulf have left! Perhaps a car to reach is needed, but it is strongly recommended for a comfortably full immersion...

"7 rooms in a very good self catering guesthouse. It has two very well equipped kitchens, washing machines and dryer room, easy to park, and close to Hortas beach. Housekeeper Sylvia keeps the place amazing. "

"The property was lovely. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The location was very convenient to shops, restaurants, churches and the ferry. Be aware that it's a small property without an elevator. So you will need to climb some stairs which may be a challenge for some, especially on the upper floors. No coffee maker available in the rooms. The one Kettle to be used by all guests was missing, most days."

"I was charged to my credit card $289.65 with no receipt to show what I was paying for. I emailed them and they told me it was for consumption. I didn't order any food because they had free breakfast. These people are cheating the clients. Expedia should take them off their website as one of the properties to stay at. If i was cheated how many mote people have they cheated."
