"The gentelmen who worked on the 2nd and 5th were so polite and helpful. The first gentelmen (my first day) was very understanding and flexible- I showed up a day late, tired, hungry, and without proper payment and he trusted me to do the right thing (and I did). He took the time to reccommend places to see and where to eat (he was right!) and I was able to make the best of my trip. "Good service, helped us check in and guided on what to so. Platform bed was in bad condition with rails falling. Overall, just a night stay is ok. It had common kitchen, so not what I wanted. Bathroom was in the room, but smelly. Room was OK. Not worth what I paid, but none other was available either at that time for cheaper price. "

"First off, great location. Heart of District V and plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, etc. at the doorstep. Very touristy area but great access to plenty of sight seeing. The room is tucked away where you get quiet. Good room for bare minimum needs. However, we went in a nice heat wave and there’s no AC in the room. No breeze as the room is tucked inside a building. "The best thing about this hotel is its location, The room I have is very noisy, the bed was tidy and clean but not comfortable. I booked a room for £125 online but ended up paying £135 at the hotel as the owner has his own change rate. will never stay there again."

"Our stay started with the receptionist saying I needed to pay again even though the booking was prepaid. Eventually after contacting hotels.com this was resolved but he walked away from me and refused to deal with the issue until the morning. Additionally, the bathroom was infested with wasps and although there were others to use and it was eventually resolved, it wasn't ideal. The room felt comfortable and spacious but the plugs were a little temperamental and there was no air conditioning....

"Very nice place to stay and exactly what we needed for one night but very good for more. It’s close to good transport links which makes it a very convenient place to stay. The host was very helpful and polite. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend."

"Apartment was ok, check in was around a 10-15 minute walk away which wasn’t convenient. Very quiet complex and plenty of shops nearby. Wouldn’t stay here again though due to the check in not being on site. "

Fantastic stay

"Every staff that I met or approached were very friendly and helpful. The junior suite is very comfortable and spacious for the 3 of us. The M club is cosy with good selection of food and drinks. Not forgetting the fantastic view from the room. The location is just 10min taxi ride from the main train station. There’s a tram which stops right in-front and a metro station within walking distance. Shopping, dining options and some tourist attractions are within walking distance. The only complaint I have is the water outside of the cubicle after showering. "

"Excellent location. Room and all facilities were clean and new. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel includes breakfast as well. Wonderful breakfast buffet choices. We had a fabulous stay at D8 hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for accommodations in Budapest. "
