"This is a central location, walking distance to lido beach and the main town area. The apartment was spotless, really clean. Only downfall is there is no air conditioning in the apartment."

"Property was beautiful. But it is a very busy location and parking between 10:00-19:00 is not free, you might find a free spot about 2km away but good luck w that during busy times. Kept getting expedia email request for personal email because lever insists on sending pictures instead of text instructions. Took 1hr to get into unit just to get correct address and correct unit number, too many message exchanges just to get inside. Entry should be simpler. Once inside all was well. "

"A fabulous location, and surprisingly quiet for being in the heart of the old town. Apartment 1 is at the top of the building with 2 steep staircases to navigate. But once up there it is airy and bright with everything you could need. No hanging space for clothes but lots of room to store items flat. Accommodating and quick response to messages with host. Excellent location! Had a wonderful stay. Ombrigada. "

We were two floors up via a metal exterior spiral staircase, we rather liked it and it is well mentioned in the advert but it would not be suitable for everyone. "We enjoyed staying in this condo. It was conveniently located so that we could walk to wonderful dinners every evening. We also were able to go on some beautiful walks from the condo. Had a couple issues getting settled in the condo (with WIFI, etc) but we were able to get it all figured out. Would have been nice to have manuals in English for hot tub, washing machine and other appliances. Also would have been nice to have more than one set of towels for a weekly stay. "The apartment was dated with old furniture and all of the same complaints (in the onsite book) as were noted in 2018! The shower leaked, the bathroom door is sticky and you have to call the company to meet you at the apartment to get in. There was no lock box. We saw a friend's apartment close by which was the same price and it was beautiful. When we had an issue and called and emailed the company OVER 10 times, there was no response for over 24 hours! "I had a lovely stay at The Vine. Right from check in the staff were very pleasant and always helpful. The rooftop bar has a lovely view at night time so is a great place to relax. The rooms are big with plenty of storage space. The location is great as many attractions in Funchal are a walkable distance. The airport bus also drops you off right outside the shopping center which contains the lifts to enter to hotel. The shopping center also has a supermarket in the basement which is handy for any essentials."

"We had a pool suite for a family of 4, and the room was enormous and so luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, and my children said that the sofa bed was too. We absolutely loved the pool on the balcony. Breakfast was very busy, and an amazing number of guests somehow manage to drop food on the floor. The staff were quick to clean it up and replenish the food. We had buffet dinner once and that was really nice. There was a good selection of food that was constantly topped up. The pools were excellent, but it was slightly annoying that other guests hogged the sunbeds by placing towels on them early in the day but didn't go there until later. "
