Decent place
We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable (excellent bed and very updated furniture and bathroom). The baseboard heater was working a little hard to get the room up to heat, but it did eventually get there and we don't mind sleeping with cooler air anyway. Perhaps a larger unit would have been a better idea.
We did find that the hallway echoes badly and outside noise was a problem, but then we are used to living in a tiny town with almost no noise at night. Other people may not mind as much. Being a hotel with bar and restaurant attached, you will get the drunks making noise. Saturday night found a crowd outside the next room yelling and carrying on between 2 and 3 am when there is a clearly stated sign on the entry door to the hotel end asking people to be quiet after 11 pm. Being that there is no 24-hour desk staff, there is really nothing to be done about it after the fact.
Keep in mind that the front desk/restaurant does not open on weekends until 8 am (we had to be at a gun show before 10 am in Churchbridge). We didn't know this ahead of time. Sunday morning was OK, as we didn't need to be as early; they provide a full hot breakfast (eggs, bacon/sausage/ham, toast and hash browns) as their continental, and you only pay $2 for coffee. The owner and his wife are very nice people who appear to have a good rapport with the locals (some happened to come in and share a table for morning coffee).
Overall, I would say this is a good place to stay.
