La piscina y los jardines, perfectos para las noches y los días en que decidimos quedarnos para descansar. Excelentes anfitriones que facilitaron todo el proceso de adaptación a la casa. "The wonderful house with very large and beautiful garden included all we needed. All bed rooms are vary spacious as are the entrance, kitchen and living. The large pool (depth up to 2,0m) is surrounded a sunny lawn with lounge chairs. We had all our meals on the veranda. The house in conveniently (by car) located to bakery, supermarket, nice cities, beach and other activities."

"Lovely spacious villa with plenty of room for 10-12 people, and lots of dining and sitting space inside, and outdoor space. It was very warm during our stay, and as the villa doesn't have air conditioning it did get warm inside. Some more fans would be useful, as opening windows does increase outside noise. "We had a wonderful time at Margarida’s place-she’s truly thought of everything! We were a group of 10 family members including a baby, 6 year old and 11 and 14 year old. We all felt we had our own privacy and there were lots of places to eat and chill out around the property. The photos do not do this place justice! Margarida was a wonderful host and was on hand on the phone if we needed her but allowed us our privacy at the same time. We would love to return!"

"Beautiful property with lovely views with everything you could possibly need catered for. The swimming pool was always inviting and Sofia was always at hand when needed. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get away from it all but still within a short drive from the lovely town of Ponte de Lima and also only half hour drive from the likes of Braga and 40 minutes from Porto which were all worth a visit."

"Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Die Mutter des Vermieters wohnt unten und ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist ziemlich zentral so dass wir Ausflüge zu den Orten im Norden an den Flüssen Minho und Lima, zur nahen Küste, nach Braga, Guimaraes und Porto unternehmen konnten. Barcelos sollte man unbedingt am Donnerstag besuchen, wenn dort Markt ist."

"Northern Portugal is amazing, with history around every corner. And Ponte de Lima is close to all the early battles with Spain and the coast from which the explorers set out. We found castle after castle and saw ancient grape vines being harvested. Madelena and Luis showed us their beautiful estate that is, in a way, preserving the historic beauty of the Vinho Verde region."

"Quinta Trás o Rio is a large house, set in the hills outside the coastal town of Viia Praia de Âncora. It has six bedrooms, a swimming pool, large garden and ample parking. Its location in the hills ensures cooling breezes for a comfortable temperature in Summer. Porto airport is 50 minutes away. The house itself is stone built and rather rambling once inside. "Die Anlage bietet eine tolle Aussicht, ist sehr ruhig gelegen, schön angelegt und ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge. Leider war das Apartment an vielen Stellen mit schwarzem Schimmel belastet, was man auch riechen konnte. Diese Situation ist umso ärgerlicher, da wir vor Reisebeginn gezielt nach möglichem Schimmelbefall gefragt hatten, was von der Agentur verneint wurde. "

"We had the most amazing time, the property is stunning and the views are magnificent. The owners are super friendly and always available for information on the area and to provide their own wine and produce which is superb, nothing was to much trouble.We all enjoyed the pool especially our children that were in it from the moment they got up until bed. "Lovely clean property and owners went out of their way to welcome us and help make our holiday special. Great setting in view of the sea in an unspoilt part of Portugal. Only a short drive to the city delights of Porto (I recommend parking in Matosinhos and catching public transport or the hop-on buses) and Viana do Castelo worth a visit."

"A truly relaxing property. Huge, beautiful gardens provided the most serene setting for sitting out under the olive trees. A large pool where you could really get your laps in and lemon and lime trees with an abundance of fruit to pick. The house was very traditional. Lots of space and a very quirky ground floor.
