"Beautiful apartment in lovely, historic building. Extremely tasteful furnishings with fantastic mullioned windows. Very scenic spot with gorgeous views and a very pretty town- Rothbury. Super walks from the house and only 25 minutes from very sandy Alnmouth beach. Our dog loved it all and we, as well as him, were made to feel very welcome by the owner in our communication. "

"The property was just as it looked lovely and clean and only a couple of minutes from seafront and town centre It does need a tin opener we tried with a penknife 😕 Better instructions needed on how to open lock box no where does it says you have to hold the button down and we ended up ringing to find out how to do it. Also the property alarm on the inside of the main front door was going off constantly saying low battery. We reported it and were told to use the key and press silence alarm,...

"Spotlessly clean, very spacious apartment,design decor very good . Tiny things to mention - property is actually called “ Wagonway” not “ Old Workhouse “ so can confuse when locating it . Would be good if enough dishwasher tabs were supplied - as a say tiny things"

"Could be a great property if some money was spent on maintenance. It’s in a central location right next to the castle and shops. However, the carpets are stained and need replacing or cleaning. The curtains are falling off the rails. The sofa cushions smell like a dog slept on them. There is also a really noisy outdoor bar next door which plays loud music all day and evening at the weekends. I think the bar has opened since we made the booking in March so we weren’t aware how loud it would...

"Overall a good apartment for a short stay, was a little lacking in some of the basics needed to self-cater (eg no chopping board) but this wasn’t a problem to us. The area was great, an easy walk to shops, cafes and beaches and plenty to do."
