Beautiful 3 bd/2 bath home overlooking our organic hydroponic farm. Enjoy the relaxation of the country, all with majestic views of the hills, orchards and farms of San Diego's North County.

The spacious master bedroom includes a queen size bed, tv, and private full bath. The middle bedroom has a full size bed. Third bedroom has a queen size bed. The bedrooms are spacious, each with their own charm, including dressers and closets. There is a full bathroom directly across from these 2 bedrooms.

The full kitchen includes an electric cooktop, double oven, dishwasher and various appliances, including a toaster, coffee maker and electric hot water kettle. There are dishes, utensils, and pots & pans as well as coffee filters and various teas & spices in the cupboard. There is also a separate dining room with large dining table.

The house has two inside sitting areas. One is a spacious living room with fireplace, reading area and board games. There is also a den with access to the patio and has a TV with ROKU. The patio is lovely, and overlooks the sweeping views.

Our guest house host resides in the downstairs apartment. There is no common area or entry. Please respect her privacy by not venturing to the downstairs patio. It is much appreciated to keep noise down after 11 pm. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Our family stayed over Labor Day weekend. The house was perfect for the 4 of us. Karen was very fast on responding to my questions. Very quiet location. Clean home. Nice afternoon/evening breeze. Close by to Escondido/San Marcos. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Beautiful location
The location is stunning! The home is well kept and beautiful. The beds are so comfortable! It was unfortunate that we happend to be there during a heatwave (daily highs of 105°!) Coming from the desert of Arizona, we are used to having air conditioning but they had plenty of floor and table fans to help move the air around. T

The property is nice - no frills but comfortable beds. A good place to sleep and perhaps cook a meal or two. The hosts went the extra mile for us when there was a bit of a glitch re my VRBO account. Really appreciated that!!

Charming & comfortable 1960's-'70s era ranch
Very comfortable for two couples and a single. Adventure to get to, great winding country roads and once you arrive there is a wonderful view from the deck. After a couple of trips we drove like the locals! Had a wonderful time, this was a return visit to this property. Wonderful owners are on site and very responsive and helpful. This time we were not in charge of the dates since we were attending a wedding. We did hit very warm weather and wished for some AC! We would definitely return on our own schedule, when the temperatures are forecast to be a bit cooler!

Sweet and comfortable home conveniently located on the same street as the wedding venue!
The hosts were easy to work with and they even provided a wonderful pantry, fresh fruit, and delicious organic basil to enjoy! Comfortably fit 8, and the view and breeze from the deck was so relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful VRBO experience.

Wonderful and relaxing!
Karen was a great host. We arrived late at night in the darkness and were disoriented. She answered her phone and helped us get into the house while mentioning which were the best wineries to go to. The next day she made us banana bread and dropped it off on the front porch to give us privacy. We checked out their organic basil farm and got a delightful tour from Chris, the super friendly and knowledgeable manager. We had a blast and will definitely be back. Thank you Karen and Chris !

Amazing house
Location is away from everything but close to everything. The house is small and beautiful, Karen and Colin were great and fixed any questions we had quickly. Highly recommend the place and would definitely rent it out again!

Lovely spot!
I was in the area for a wedding, and this was the perfect place to stay with my dogs. The fresh organic produce, along with other essentials, was delicious and much appreciated. House and bed were comfortable and well kept. I would stay here again. Thanks, Karen and Colin!

Charming & Quiet
Our entire stay was lovely throughout. We were looking for a quiet place to spend New Year's eve, away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city, and this place was just that and more. The home is charming and extremely comfortable for 8 adults and two dogs as we never felt crowded in any single room. We had some trouble with the wifi connection but it was quickly resolved with a single phone call to the home owner. This is an ideal place for nature lovers, bicyclist and hikers. A big thank you to the owners for opening their home to us. We look forward to another visit sometime in the near the future.

A cycling week at Valley Center VRBO 509798
Booked on short (8 hour) notice, owner very accommodating and responsive. Property is a bungalow type residence in rural area 15 miles NE of Escondido. Paved road access to high country location, agricultural area with fruit trees and greenhouse operations. Quiet, but close enough to I-15 for easy access to services etc. We spent most days road biking on various nearby mountain and coast roads. Excellent paved roads, bike lanes on many roads, excellent place to bike. Particularly spectacular sunsets from west deck and of course, the San Diego area has the best weather in North America, a welcome respite from Alberta winter. Highly recommended.

Not recommendable
The air conditioner didn't work and there was only a fan to help the hot air circulate. I don't find it worth the price. The house was stuffy and not so clean. There were spider webs everywhere. There are people that live in the bottom area; no privacy.

Home away from home
Immaculately clean, well-equipped midcentury modern home in quiet, country setting with stunning views: what more could one want? The welcoming owners, Karen and Colin--who live nearby--supplied anything that was forgotten, and welcomed us with a basket of fresh organic produce from their farm: delicious and very generous! After only a short, winding but scenic drive, you are right on the freeway and can get anywhere. We'd stay there again.

Location – Comfort – Privacy, this place has it all
Being familiar with the North County area of San Diego, we knew before we arrived how beautiful the countryside is but we were still blown away by the lovely sunsets and hills to the west viewed from the back porch of this house. I’m sort of a horticultural nerd, so I was very impressed with the Italian Cypress trees that form an archway on the property. We were traveling with family so we needed a spacious place for four adults. The bedrooms were very comfortable and so were the bathrooms. Best of all is the large country table in the dining room that accommodated us as we just sat around, drinking wine, and relaxing. Upon arriving, you’ll be treated to a basket of produce that includes the hosts' excellent basil and kale products, grown on site in state of the art greenhouses. We were lucky enough to get a tour of Archi’s Acres and they are providing one heck of a service to our returning vets. Check them out at www.archiesacres.com. We’ll definitely return to this house next time we travel to San Diego, great to know we can bring the dog.
