"The location is on the edge of a quiet village and with only subtle sounds of frogs from the pond and whinnies from the horse it was bliss. This was our 2nd stay and would love to come back again. Transport is required to access local shops but the ride out is so lovely it isnt a worry. We stayed for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and found it a good base to stay for the events. "We had a very pleasant stay at this quirky octagonal cottage. It is in a little hamlet up a long lane so was very quiet. The owners house was closer than it seems in the photos but she left us to ourselves unless we needed something. The lane to the Le Gibet is narrow but is one way so you don't have to worry about meeting another car going up. Entering the lane going up the hill is fine as its on the right. "We had a spacious, well presented and clean gîte. The home is tastefully decorated, lots of interesting decor! The kitchen was incredibly usable for making full meals or sides to accompany grilled meats - we did leave BBQ tools for other guests to take advantage of! "We spent a wonderful week in Sigrid and Jérôme's fantastic holiday homes. The houses are, as you can see in the pictures, stylishly and thoughtfully furnished. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired, neither in the houses, nor on the terrace or in the garden. You immediately feel extremely comfortable. The extremely quiet location adds to this. You can be in Beuzeville in just 10 minutes - at the bakery, butcher and supermarket. Honfleur is on the doorstep and the D180 and A29/30...
